Zifu nodded. "I will take my leave, then. May I know your names, Inquisitors? In case I discover any information and need to contact you."

The woman passively looked at her. "Inquisitor Crowley," she said neutrally.

"Inquisitor Stylus," said the blonde. "And if you do go down there, be prepared to have her be short with you. She's probably doing a ritual or something. She'll probably be back up here when she's done, if you'd rather stick around. But... I don't blame you, it smells like shit up here."

Zifu nodded again. "Thank you for your concern, Inquisitor Stylus. Inquisitor Crowley." She turned and headed for the stockade.

Giving the Inquisitor a small, dry smile he nods, "So they could be anybody. Super." Frowning. He rubs his chin at the grisly scene, seemingly unaffected by the macabre sight. "I'm sorry, but as it stands I think'the suspect might be more useful as'an investigator rather than in jail. I don' see how a 'witch' that could pull off somethin' like that could get'imself wrestled down by'a handful'a common sellswords." His arms go to his hips as he looks back towards the brunette Inquisitor, "What're you doin' fer dinner tanight? I' an focus on my people's skills, put tagether' report an then we' an chat 'bout it while we stuff our face-holes with food?" His grin is broad, wide and definitely practiced.

The blonde inquisitor with an amicable smile, replied. "Hell no. He's our only suspect, so he's staying until we find somebody who fits better. I don't think he did it either, but we're not in the habit of releasing leads." He looked suspicious of Ian at this point.

The woman seemed to at once blush profusely, which was very clear from her otherwise pale skin. She cleared her throat, looking away. "I-I'm busy tonight. I'm leaving at the end of the week, and I'm free tomorrow night. Perhaps then." She was pointedly not looking at him. It seems she was not usually propositioned, especially not by androgynous, questionably male men.

Edited to correct for Ian's K-pop status

She's still not being hit on by a rugged man. If Ian was a character in a Yaoi manga, he'd be tagged by the artist as 'the pretty one'.
Ian gives a sly grin and a wink to the brunette, "That'll suit me just fine." He lowers his voice to a whisper loud enough for everyone else to still hear, "I have a particular weakness fer brunettes in law enforcement." With that, he takes a step back, with a small wave.

"I'm gonna go check on'the little shit weasel." He holds up his hands towards the blonde man, as if to forestall comment, "It'd be irresponsible not ta an I need ta take care' it b'fore noon since I've got an officer's briefin' ta attend. Okay?" He walks backwards, towards the edge of the courtyard to where he knows there are some guards to give him directions.

Greta points at the corpse and with wide eyes exclaims in a very loud voice "Plague!"

She covers her mouth and moves with all haste out of the court-yard.
Sep 15, 2019 9:11 pm
Inquisitor Stylus was about to respond to Ian when Greta's statement caused both his and Inquisitor Crowley's heads to whip over toward her. They watch her leave in befuddlement.

"GRETA" Doc yelled after her. She had mentioned her stalwart belief in the plague last night. Could it be firsthand experience?

If Greta stops running at some point or Doc catches up, he asks her sternly "You've seen this exact thing before?"

Presumably with Greta following Ian out, the group was now storming away from the courtyard - toward the stockade, wherever they were.
Sep 16, 2019 3:45 pm
Greta stops and waits for Doc, only when she out of the courtyard and is well away from the body. "Yes. I've seen this before in my homeland. Doc, we need to get out of this fortress. The whole place will look like that..." she says pointing to the courtyard.

To Ian she says "Get Finn out of the jail. I'm no Inquisigator but if they think that little turd did this, they are dumber than donkey shit. But with or without him, we need to go."
Sep 16, 2019 5:36 pm
Ian blinks as Greta has her little freak-out, for a half second he is motionless, frozen by the implications. Then, giving her a nod he says quietly to the giant woman, "Go an get yerself ready to move. Collect yer things. Collect Doc's things." He glances over at their auxiliary back-up halfling, Johan, "He looks like'e travels light."

Turning he points to Doc, "D'ya have any way'a keepin' that body from spreadin' disease? Speak up, now, priest. Hey!" he suddenly shouts past Doc's shoulder towards the two Inquisitors, "My expert on infectious diseases has identified that body as infectiously diseased. Please back the fuck up in an orderly an immediate fashion!"
Sep 16, 2019 5:47 pm
Zifu, unaware of the anxiety in the courtyard, continued on her way to the stockade to meet with the Imperius.

"Yeah I got a holy spell called Quarantine!" Doc says acerbically; less so irritated at Ian and more-so the reality of the situation.

"I've experience with disease but the Plague in the North? No one knows how it spreads, it may not matter that we didn't touch the body. It could be in the air we just breathed." He looks to the expanse of the city; so many people live here.

"No one can be anywhere near this courtyard; and on top of that this part of the city and anyone in it needs to be locked down." He would want nothing more than to leave as soon as possible; but the simple truth was that, if this is the plague, they just stood feet away from patient zero, and as of right now he has no idea how to tell who is safe and who is not.

Roll me a medicine check mister Docanter.
The two inquisitors, that seemed to be blinking at each other beforehand, looked at Ian. Inquisitor Crowley immediately covered her mouth, while Inquisitor Stylus began rounding up soldiers to get back into the fort. "Go, all of you. Yes, you too! Oh, by Thuum's thumping balls this is bad..."

Crowley seemed speechless for a moment, but all at once exploded into words. "Wait, wait, wait, WAIT. We cannot let anybody back toward the general public, even ourselves. We could be infected, the Legate..." She fainted in the courtyard, which set Stylus into a cursing fit. He got one of the soldiers to help him move her inside.
Sep 16, 2019 5:58 pm
"Cast'the spell b'fore those two idiots find out for ya." He scowls as he gestures towards the body and the two Inquisitors. His entire demeanor has changes, his movements are charged, lively, crackling with energy. Every sweep of his hand and glare of his eyes seems to almost to belong to someone else, "If that's plague, any plague, this just turned from'a murder inta siege warfare."
