Dying he could live with, but trapped like a rat in a decaying city? No, not like that.

We effectively can't move if we don't want to risk spread. But the people responsible may still be in the city. How can we even warn anyone of what has happened by just sitting here? So many variables running through his head.

His stream of consciousness pauses for a moment

"Zifu...bring her back NOW!" he yells at Stylus

Turning to Ian he explains, this time repressing sarcasm for the sake of clarity "Quarantine isn't a spell. I have nothing to help us contain what I don't know, only the procedure of keeping people-here-away from the healthy people-there-" He gestures to the expansive city before them "We're stuck here unless we want to accept the risk. But it's possible Lady-bookworm may have a brighter idea."

Greta nods to Ian as she says "I'll grab our stuff! Where should we meet before we get the hells out of here? If we get split up, meet up at The Beast of Burden, it's a tavern!"

Greta runs to the barracks and shoulders her gear as well as Docanter's things on her brawny back.

Stylus sputtered at Docanter, holding one half of a passed-out Crowley. "Sorry mate, but between a stuck-up noble bint and my partner, I go for my partner, I need to make sure she ain't dead!" His lower-class lilt was bleeding through profusely.

Soldiers were now shimmying past them in the hall surrounding the courtyard, and began shouting plague as they ran down seperate hallways. It seems discipline may have broken.

OOC:
Oh my bad just saw the medicine check
Abandoning all subtlety at the sight of the spreading chaos, Doc lets out a frustrated groan and once more asks his deity to give him guidance as he tries to think of what to do next.
OOC:
hooooly cow I have no idea what I did, sorry. I was trying for 1d20+1d4+5...so just pluck out the 20 and the 4 and the 5 I guess; or I can reroll if you want

GP doesn't do funky dice math well. Best to stick with straight rolls separated by commas (i.e. 1d20+5, 1d4).

With one palm facing the sky and another toward the earth, Docanter is still for several moments; stark contrast to the panic swelling around him. Then, with sharp but slow exhale, he opens his eyes which are now wet with tears.

He swallows the lump in his throat and wipes his eyes with the back of his gloved hand; resolving himself once more.

"Ian," he says calmly "The city is lost, you and Greta are right. We need to leave immediately."

His pace quickens in pursuit of the ambassador from Morveth "I'll find Zifu, meet us at the Beast of Burden with Greta and the Hunter. Greta knows the way there!"

At the mention of plague, the sellswords in the building became very noticably panicked. Intense shouting matches between soldiers and sellswords ensued. The tension was rising quickly...
When Zifu went up the stairs from the stockade, and went into the main level's hallways, it became somewhat stunning how well sound was blocked out. She heard yelling, near to the point of combat. It was indecipherable, but it was coming from all around her. She witnessed Docanter round the corner, seeming like he didn't quite know where he was going but he was on a mission.

Once Greta gathers her and Docanter's things, she heads back out of the barracks, looking for Ian.
OOC:
If she can't find him, or Docanter, she makes for the gate.
