The skeleton that was currently enveloped in bright blue electricity was the target of Finn's fiery bombardment. The fire lit up the water fantastically as it traversed down the hall. It slammed into the skeleton, and in a collection of fire and electricity it exploded apart. Fiery and electrified bits of skeleton plopped into the water one piece after another.

Doc falls back closer to Ian, waiting for the others to follow suit but holding ready to sling spells at any skeletons that round the corner.

"Let's go! We don't need to kill the whole town all at once!" he growls

The skeletons' finally began to start moving. Starting slowly at first, they began to charge down the corridor as a collective. They were -fast-, faster than was fair. The water began to flow with them like a small wave as they charged due to the disruption of the liquid. The torch that Finn had held with his Magical Hand was knocked into the water as the skeletons passed, passing through the hand but knocking the torch out of it with the force of the charge - which consequently steeped them in darkness until they reached Greta's torchlight in a black, skeletal vanguard. Only the wave was a prelude to the enemy themselves.

In almost a blink, Greta and Axu were surrounded by three skeletons on opposing sides, and a Skeleton was approaching Finn. They seemed to be carrying pitted and deteriorated Gladius, and a few had shields. They all slashed the trio, showing a brazen lack of any humanity.

The sheer volume of the attack against Greta meant that one attack struck true. The skeleton on the left slashed into Greta's ribs(7 damage)

Axu seemed to be ready for the onslaught, dodging and weaving out of the way of the skeletons' attacks.

The skeleton approaching Finn slashed him tidily across the chest(5 damage)

Greta, you now get to do your action. If you kill the skeleton on the left, it'll nullify the damage as you struck before them

Zifu's expression turns sour at Ian's words. "You are an idiot," she mutters under her breath.

She listens to Hu's report and sends the owl back towards the storage room to listen for sounds of activity.

Realizing that this hallway led to the officers' rooms, she calls out, "The courtyard is beyond those skeletons!"

Zifu checked the nearby door to see if it was unlocked, and tried to open it. Ian's suggestion of a bottleneck to act as defense was sound, even if his proposed location was ludicrous.

Greta attempted to cut down the skeleton before it could get a hit in, but her swipe was knocked aside by the skeleton's shield, doing nothing.

Zifu's attempt to open the door was successful, and it revealed a step up to one of the rooms' of the officers quarters. A hanging lamp was still giving off a little light to illuminate two beds and two footlockers, and a blessedly dry floor.

Axu, seeming completely overwhelmed by the skeletons charging her, chose to withdraw. She ran around the corner to where Zifu was, noticing she'd opened the door. "Are we taking a stand in there?" she asked breathlessly.

Looking back towards Zifu and the door she has open he nods, "Yes, yes, get in there! Get some light up in there so w'can see!" Coming around the corner he waves Greta and Finn over, "Get over here! We found'a safe spot!" Moving around the corner he goes inside the room that Zifu found in order to make sure it's safe.

OOC:

Are those beds and chests in there? Also I'd like Ian to be 2 squares west and 1 square north of Zifu on the end of his turn so that he doesn't block entrance to the room.

Greta shrieks her hatred at her attackers, whose empty sockets and death grimaces belie their utter indifference to her emotions.

In a flash she drops her torch. Its flickering light vanishes with a hiss in the dark waters.

Her left hand now free, she unslings her shield and uses it to protect herself from the slashing blades wielded by the boney hands of her attackers, which nearly surround Greta while she flees down the hall towards the rest of the party. She calls out for Finn to do the same.

"Move Dingus!"

The skeletons, indeed indifferent to her rage, slashed at her in predatory vigor as she dashed down the hall.

They wasted no time, with no mercy. The pitted blades sliced into Greta as she passed, one after another. Until at the last, she finally had her shield on enough to bat it aside on her way to safety. (Greta takes 6 Piercing damage. Currently 29/42)

She would feel her blood dribbling down into the water as she ran. While these strikes are not nearly as vicious as they could have been had she not been enraged, it's still left her with a reminder of mortality.
