War of the Lost Kingdom

Doc has half of his mind listening to their banter while the other half meditates on the surprising wisdom spoken by Ian. Relieved by the receding black water ahead of them, he takes point in the back to ensure some armor is between the spellcasters and an attack from the flank.

At the corner, Greta sheaths her sword and holds up the progress of the party with a hand signal. She points at Finn and then around the corner indicating for the diminutive trickster to have a look.

I nod and wink. I move to the shadows and look around the corner.

Can't see anything, but Doesn't sound like skeleys.

Greta nods to Ian. "Let’s keep moving. First to the mess hall, then to the Let-gate."

She stops to lights another torch before leading the group around the corner.

I continue to follow uncomfortably close to Greta.

"A moment, Ingvarsdottir, and save your tinder and some time," Zifu said. With a twist of her finger and a short word, she wove a cantrip to ignite Greta's torch.

Another weave, and Zifu reapplied her Light spell onto her own lamp before joining the others in the procession.

"I swear the mess hall was right here," says Zifu as she stared at the wall. Remembering the time at the officers' quarters, she asked Axu, "Is this another illusion?"

Docanter hears the noise from beyond the wall and closes his eyes to better focus on their conversation; hoping to hear the familiar voice of the gruff barkeep

Greta pauses the party’s progress while Doc listens for the sounds of conversation coming from the stone wall and eyes Axu suspiciously when Zifu asks her question.

She tries to remember where the door held ajar would lead.

While the others search for the mess hall door, Ian moves forward to check out the other door, peering past it to see what lays beyond. He's still cautious as he approaches frowning sharply at it.

Axu seems distant as she scans the wall.

"It is here. Just need to find the spot..."

She casts light on her staff and begins scanning the wall herself.

Zifu lifted her lamp, adding its light to Axu's search.
