War of the Lost Kingdom

With a beaming look of pride in her feat of strength, Greta watched Finn sail up, up, and up. As the halfling-projectile reached its zenith, the Outlander tensed in anticipation, waiting for the little humanoid to land on the roof. Pride turned to horror as she realized, dimly, that while she hurled Finn with enough force but not enough of an arc.

Finn screaming ‘catch me!’ snapped her out of her disbelief as she reached out of the window to try to grasp ‘Dingus.’

Zifu thought she heard something outside, but Revulde's words captured her attention and now the man was her sole focus. The corners of her lips curled upward in practiced form, her eyes half-lidded with a serene look. "I find it curious," she said, her voice a calm and even tone. "It is fascinating what marvels one can create if they are so inspired, don't you think?"

She tries to keep from flying out with Finn

With a grimace, Ian described the route to the Legate's office. "It gets worse when ya get there. Knocked me flat on my ass, truth be told." He sits up, frowning at Doc, "How come yer immune, again?" An eyebrow arches on his face as he regards the cleric evenly, "Is that'a religious thing?"

MESS HALL

Zifu looked at Axu studiously. "If you wish to leave, I will not stop you. I know I would appreciate your assistance in finding the Legate's office, but I also understand your desire to reach safe ground."

She regarded everyone else in the room and bowed, hands together before her. "I do want to thank you for all that you've done, and wish you good fortune. Please look after each other."

Jauk still sitting on the now stacked tables partially listening for noise at the door while paying attention to the goings on looks over at Toyachek, "We staying or going Toyachek, I mean shouldn't something be done to set things straight?"

I still have no idea Doc replied Could be I guess
His eyes drift to his hilt where the mysterious kaphesh hung
I'll make my way there and hopefully make it back in one piece. I understand if no one else wants to tag along...If you're overrun while I'm gone, don't wait for me

Doc raises an eyebrow. What was that?
He moves to get a better view of where the noise came from

Greta hauls in Finn.

"Looks like ya missed the roof Dingus. " she mutters as she helps the halfling in
The window.

"No more flying for you."

His eyes narrow, We should go now. It's coming from further within the fort.

INSIDE THE MESS HALL

Zifu waited patiently, watching Axu and the others. Certainly whatever her companions were up to outside, they were efficient and capable.

Doc hurries downstairs, taking the shield off of his back and sliding it onto his arm.
He turns to Xiao and Jauk You coming to the Legate Office with me? More than likely there'll be trouble

"You found the way?" said Zifu. She looked for the ladder to ascend to Doc's position. As she reached the upper level, she looked back at Axu, a wordless question on her lips. Instead, she gave the other woman an appreciative nod.

Jauk jumps off the table he much preferred action to sitting so anything right now was better. "Sure lead on."

The large barbarian woman is visibly annoyed.

"What is the plan? Are we all now trying to climb up there and get to the Let Gate’s office? Because to tell the truth, I am thinking we need to forget that shit and get the fuck out of this place. But where? "
