The sounds thin, boney material clattering against stone in great volume began to sound from the closed and barred door, along with a slight rumbling in the floor.

Axu pursed her lips. "I am going. Venna, Toyachek, are you coming with me?"


Venna nodded blankly, standing finally. She looked somewhat scared.

Toyachek shook his head. "I'll only be going with the majority of people. We need to stay together. I think you should stay too, Axu."


The rumbling was getting heavier, and the clattering louder.

Wind from outside whistled into the mess hall, setting the light sources fluttering, and bringing with it the smell of rot.
