Mimi was also further upset by watching Kalam kill off the babies. She knows that they threaten others, but she is still bothered by the act of actively killing defenseless young. She gets down from her tree and meet up with the others. "So, I suppose we finish the job?..." She says gloomily while looking at the burrow.

"Unless we wish for this beast to rum amok." Feng doesn't seem disturbed by Kalem willing the offspring. They're just animals, I'm not about to sell one to some idiotic noble.
OOC:
Thanks for the reminder Jabes.

Kalam carefully cleans his blades, before walking back to the group. Looking at Mimi and seeing her sorrowful face, he looks at the ground, ashamed. "I wish there was another way, but they were too dangerous to let live. I take no pride in the act of killing," he meets Mimi's gaze, "but sometimes it is necessary."
"Meng, are you alright?" He calls over as he approaches where Wu Meng was.
He looks at the burrow, "Do we know if there is an exit? If not i say we burn it out."

"Thank you, I will be fine shortly. Thankfully I was neither gored by the horns nor stung. Yes I agree, can we try to drive it out with smoke or fire first?"

"Alright. My father also once taught me that not everything should be allowed to live for the sake of balance. I suppose its time I learn to take part in this druidic teaching." Mimi then turns to Feng. "You can go ahead and send a fire down."

"Always fire, always burning." Feng looks to be having some trouble maintaining her composure, but after shaking her head and whispering this mantra few more times she looks ready to continue, hurling motes of fire into the burrow.
OOC:
I should ask if this uses any/all uses of burning hands.

Will definitely consume at least one use. Possibly more, depending on how well you roll.

Kalam raises an eyebrow at Feng's peculiar behavior. "Perhaps you should tell us more of this spirit that inhabits your person, but at a latter date." Kalam looks down the hole for signs of movement.

He then looks around warily for signs of smoke elsewhere nearby. Indicating another possible exit.

Wu Meng stood ready, in case the beast sprung back out.

Feng lights up the deepening night with gouts of flame into the tunnel. You smell burning flesh, but the monster never really made a lot of noise, so there's no telling if that killed it, or not. Kalam watches for signs of smoke, but it's hard to tell in the dark. Sniffing around, he does find a crack in the drier ground amongst some tree roots. He's not sure if it's smoke or burning flesh, or something else entirely that he smells coming out of it, but it's much too small at present to let the monster through.

What do you do now?

"Let me see if I can easily crawl inside." Wu Meng again relied on his adroitness to slowly check the crawlspace entrance, before inching in slowly.

You get 1 question from the list, Wu Meng.

OOC:
What should I be on the lookout for?
Wu Meng knew that the creature had retreated to find safety and avoid the attacks. He needed to verify if it was dead or dying, or if they needed to finish the job. He looked for clues to see whether it was indeed on its last legs and what else they had to do.

Meng, the tunnel in the earth is sticky with the thing's web, and the smell of burnt flesh makes you gag. It's also pitch dark. Although you're not absolutely sure, it would be a safe bet a nocturnal creature like this beast can see in the dark. Meaning you are at a distinct disadvantage right now. You need to watch out for a surprise attack!

Kalam, upon closer inspection, there appears to be some sort of paving stone among the tree roots. The stink wafting out of the crack does smell a bit like burnt flesh, but there's more to it. Swamp vapors, maybe? Rotting flesh?

What do you do?

"Bring light if you can. And quickly. The beast may not be dead yet." Wu Meng called out to the others outside the entrance.

OOC:
Adventuring Gear is what you need (covers torches, lanterns, candles, etc.) I believe only Mimi has adventuring gear. Of course, Feng is a walking torch. ;-)

Kalam looks at the odd cobblestone in the tree. Seeing the smoke around it. He has a hypothesis about the situation, but he needs to see first hand.
He quickly turns and heads to the burrow, "Wu, I'm heading in, be on guard, I think it's den is an old sewer."
