Hello everyone!
I'm from Canada. I played my first RPG back in high school, after another student invited me in their group. As a big fan of board games, strategic video games, and fantasy writing, I figured DnD would be right up my alley. However, I just couldn't manage to get involved with the roleplaying aspect; getting a voice right felt so awkward and difficult. The other players were having a ton of fun, but I was feeling left out, so I left the game. I kept in touch with the DM and sent them encounters and maps I designed as a way to remain connected, and they really appreciated my help.
I discovered play-by-post a few weeks ago, right when I started college. It seems like the perfect answer; a (mostly) completely textual approach seems perfect for me, and only posting once or twice a day is an excellent way to fit the game in my busy schedule.
Oh, and I know my username is bad. I made a throwaway account as a test, and I don't want to make another one, as I am not sure if the site allows multiple accounts per user. Please let me know if that is the case.
Looking foward to playing with you,
