My name is Jay(de). It’s nice to meet you all and be on the site. I’ve played a few roleplay pbp before but often they were more narrative based than strict games systems. I got into rpgs a couple of years ago and have played WoD, Fate, D&D, and some Pathfinder.

I’m really looking forward to playing some more games and trying new systems (I’ve heard GURPS is good?) and meeting you all.

Welcome, JayGio! I'm a newbie myself, but I found the site very intuitive and have moved right in and made myself at home. GURPS is very realistic. If you get into a firefight in GURPS, someone is probably going to die, barring supernatural protections. Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of fun to play, but just be aware that the level of realism in a typical GURPS game is far greater than in, say, D&D.
