Character Creation

Use this thread to ask/plan/plot out characters. I will be providing stats for 2 homebrew races after I get off work.

Are Minotaur and centaur available?

And I’m assuming level 1

Yes level 1, and if you are referring to those from Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica then yes.

What classes is everyone thinking of going with?

Would Goliath be okay? I've got a couple ideas for characters.

Anyone know where I can find a complete list of the archetypes for a Fighter? I'm looking for one that would fit a Goliath?

What kind of DM wouldn't allow that? Plus the idea of a centaur ranger is too cool for me to say no to.

What are you using for deities and such for clerics/paladins? or everyone else I guess.

I'm using a mix of deities from 3.5, 4e, as well as some of my own. The gods/goddesses, their domains, and their original source are the following:

Gruumsh, God of storms and wrath - Tempest, War - 3.5
Lolth, Goddess of fate and motherhood - Trickery - 3.5
Melora, Goddess of nature - Grave, Nature - 4e
Moradin, God of creation and smithing - Forge, Knowledge - 3.5
Pelor, the Sun - Life, Light - 3.5
Sekolah, God of the hunt - Nature, Tempest - 3.5
Tiamat, Goddess of ambition - Trickery, War - 3.5

I'm thinking a female dragonborn (Blue) tempest cleric of Gruumsh (Sekolah for tempest is really for water)

I was looking at making a high elf divination wizard. Nothing fancy like a centaur revised ranger, haha.

I am very curious to see these Homebrew races!

Just saw the rantar race and they look amazingly fun for this campaign. Raccoons were my favorite animals growing up, even!

I am definitely interested in a rantar divination wizard.

Since Goliath live for the fight and are always looking for that next challenge, I've got a question. What Fighter archetypes would make sense to go for? I'm thinking of going with Soldier or something like it for the background.

Fairly well rounded group, I've a number of ideas that could be fun to play, a Shadow Sorcerer, a Twilight domain Cleric (if the DM was keen to use Unearthed Arcana and figure out which deities it fit), but something more rogueish seems a bit more appropriate. Would an Inquisitive be permitted?
