OOC:
I assume I'll go after whoever wakes me up?
Nov 20, 2019 6:17 am
"Hey, leave him alone!" Ruby rushes to meet this foe head-on, leaping in the air to slam her staff down on their head as she falls, followed up by hopping to the side and performing a spinning roundhouse kick while also using the momentum to deliver a second staff attack against their back.
OOC:
Lets go for a stunning strike. I...don't know what the DC is supposed to be.

Mavis caught a sob, inhaled, feelings of hopelessness overwhelmed her. Without exhaling, she inhaled again surveying the scene.
Dirty yellow bones in dark soil. The mineral wealth of this hill as haphazardly scattered calcium - a vein of despair.

Tears pooled in her eyelids, sheening her vision, Mavis lifted her head to see the figure advancing. The crushing despair shifted her soul...
...but the configuration it had found was stable - and hard.
She dipped and shook her head, the tears flicked from her eyes to reveal a calculating look of hatred of her own.
Mavis reached for the enchanted dagger at her forearm and waited for turn 9 in the initiative order.

Rolls

Initiative - (1d20+3)

(6) + 3 = 9

Nov 20, 2019 1:45 pm
Ruby's fury catches the creature flat footed, so to speak. She lays about with her weapons, and lands a number of blows. She notes that her kick does less than expected damage.

Ki save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Damage done: 31, not stunned

Rolls

Constitution save vs 13 - (1d20+3)

(15) + 3 = 18

Nov 20, 2019 4:54 pm
Hasan will rush to Heseh and attempt to grab him and move him out of the way.

Rolls

init - (1d20+3)

(2) + 3 = 5

Nov 20, 2019 5:50 pm
The creature recoils at Ruby's attack and lands out with magic, before stepping 5' closer to Hehsh.

Everyone make a DC 14 Willpower save versus Sleep.

If you make your save, each of you can act in any order. Hehsh can act only if his funk is busted (at which point he can act immediately).

OOC:
dosent sleep just do the thing based on hp?

Rolls

Sleep DC 14 - (1d20+1)

(10) + 1 = 11

Nov 20, 2019 6:03 pm
OOC:
You're right. Weird wording in the creature write up. I'll adjust to the normal roll.
No one is affected by the spell, you can forego further Wisdom saves and act normally, except for the prior note about Hehsh.

Rolls

Sleep - (5d8)

(26348) = 23

Nov 20, 2019 6:05 pm
I am not sleepy.

Rolls

I am just resting my eyes. - (1D20+6)

(16) + 6 = 22

Adder strike!

At the shouted command the adder bracers changes into a golden quarter staff which Garth swings two handed at this foul being.
OOC:
Sorry, should be plus 4 not plus one. Probably no better.

Rolls

Staff swing. Counts as magical. - (1D20+1)

(9) + 1 = 10

Damage if needed - (1D8+1)

(2) + 1 = 3

Nov 20, 2019 6:16 pm
Taking a few steps towards the creature, her dagger in her sinister hand, Mavis slips past. She strolls as if this were a social occasion in the dwarven halls. As she passes, she slips the dagger into the creature, before strolling on (bonus action disengage & using any remaining movement - if any).
OOC:
That was damage from a magical weapon

Hasan will continue on his potential rescue mission pulling Hehsh to safty.
Nov 20, 2019 6:36 pm
Garth and Mavis both misses with their attacks, although Mavis comes close. Hehsh is startled (entirely) from his maudlin reverie by Hasan, who drags him five feet further from the creature.
Nov 21, 2019 6:16 am
Hehsh is almost lifeless until Hasan takes ahold of him and pushes him away from danger. It shocks him from his revalry as he realized what has happened. He froze. His allies are in danger. His weakness made things worse. Dragons do not suffer such failures. He roars hatred and screams "Give me a clear shot!"
OOC:
I'm assuming that I can't fire lighning bolt because there are probably people between me and the monster. Given that lightning bolt is a line template instead an attack, I would hit you guys if you were in the way, correct? regardless, I'm casting chromatic orb at 2nd level. If I can cast lightning bolt with out hitting you guys next turn, I will.

Rolls

chromatic orb (lightning) - (1d20+7, 4d8)

OOC:
Where are we in the initiative order? Back at the top? Is it Ruby, Baddy, Garth, Mavis, Hassan then Hehsh?
Nov 21, 2019 2:55 pm
OOC:
I don't require strict initiative order in PBP, in order to minimize play time.
Hehsh strikes the creature with his magical attack, dealing electricity damage.

Ruby is up, then the Eater of Innocence.

Total damage done: 42
Nov 21, 2019 7:20 pm
Since this monster has continued without pause, so to shall Ruby. She jumps over the strange being, performing a helm-splitter with a flip. Once she lands back to the monster Ruby thrusts her staff behind her, and turns to deliver a straight punch against it's...body. "Ow..." She mutters.
OOC:
Try stunning strike one more time baby!

Also a question: Am I keeping all the temporary HP I've accumulated?

Casting caution aside, Mavis’s right hand removes the second dagger from behind her back.
She plunges the two daggers into the Eater of Innocence, just where she guesses the kidneys would be.
OOC:
I’m assuming this thing is resistant to non-magical attacks, so...
If 19 with the main hand hits then it’s 19 magical, 4 non-magical
If 19 misses and 23 hits then it’s 18 non-magical
Unlike her last hit and run, Mavis doesn’t disengage, she tucks the daggers against her forearms - her face showing stony resolve.
This bastard is going down.

The creature slashes at Ruby with its clawlike hands, tearing deep into her skin.

Mavis slides past, attacking with her daggers. Both strike, but her offhand does only partial damage.

Total damage done: 84
