Hasan is up, then the devil, then you all.
Dec 16, 2019 5:22 pm
Hasan quickly dashes though the storm to the creatures diving on Ruby.
OOC:
idk how you want to do this, i would like to jump over 1 of the 2 smaller creatures. and continue moving after making my 2 attacks. and continue moving past (if enough movement allowed.) accepting the aoo.

I'll put my attacks in here and another d20 for whatever else you wish for to happen.

The Dust Devil takes Hasan's attack, (5 damage), and reciprocated with his own attack in retaliation as Hasan's motion leaves him exposed momentarily. Hasan takes 9 damage.
OOC:
Uses Reaction for an Opportunity Attack.
Total damage to Dust Devil: 92

He then grabs Ruby to drag her into the sky, but Ruby dodges.
OOC:
Grapple check, opposed by Ruby's Dexterity(Acrobatics) check
Ruby and Mavis can use their own Reaction to make their own Opportunity Attack as it swoops back into the sky.

Then each of your are up. Disadvantage on ranged attacks due to the obscuring sands storm.

1d20+6 : (17) + 6 = 23

1d6+3 : (6) + 3 = 9

(4) + 5 = 9

Ruby's Dexterity(Acrobatics) - (1d20+8)

(9) + 8 = 17

Garth does not have a ranged weapon at hand so he will cast the spirit Guardian spell as mentioned last time. In case one comes back.
Dec 17, 2019 10:05 am
Ruby and the Devil twist and turn in the blinding wind. The instant Ruby breaks free, Mavis launches herself at the creature.

After stabbing into the retreating devil with the enchanted blade, Mavis lands on the floor in a crouch - the blades of her daggers lightly scraping the floor as she wheels round ready for the devil’s next attack.

Dec 17, 2019 4:58 pm
OOC:
it is partially visible, only because it hasn't moved very far.
Dec 17, 2019 5:25 pm
"Why don't you come down from there and have a rest on the ground?
OOC:

Smiling cheerlessly, Mavis slips the dagger in her right hand into its scabbard at her back.
She holds her arms out wide, the sinister dagger tucked against her forearm, inviting the grapple.
Ahm still waitin’ for ma dance. Come gi’ us a hug, tha’ great wet lettuce. she shouts into the roaring sky.
Dec 17, 2019 6:59 pm
Also, Ruby's attack missed (should have stated that earlier). It's badly wounded, near dead, but still 100% combat effective because this is D&D!
Dec 17, 2019 7:12 pm
Seeing the hesitation of the wounded devil to re-engage, Mavis sheathes her other dagger, turns around, hikes down her leather trousers and moons the dread foe.
Slapping her buttocks and jeering, Mavis hopes that her colleagues will be able to defeat this devil, or, failing that, Sandra never finds out about her ignoble demise.
Aaaa tha’ great wind bag. Who are ya? Who are ya? Who are ya?
OOC:
Mavis seems to have discovered her inner football hooligan.
Dec 18, 2019 1:24 am
Is she taunting it? Does that work? Ruby is perplexed by Mavis's choices, but decides now is not the time to discuss the matter in detail. Instead she takes a defensive stance, ready to smack it down should it try and lunge at her again.
OOC:
Readying action to bash this fool in.
Dec 18, 2019 2:17 pm
somebox says:
Does that work?
OOC:
Dunno. But given how much damage Ruby can deal in a round, I guessed the best bet was to try and bring it back.
If I were the devil I’d leg it - but I’m hoping that the sight of a lowly dwarf taunting it is more than devilish pride can tolerate.
Don’t devils respawn in hell anyway? It’s not like it’d be proper dead.
If this doesn’t work then at least I get the story of when my incomprehensible dwarf mooned a devil.

Edit: For clarification- Mavis will be spending her entire action taunting (I’m not sure there’s a skill for that - charisma? I’ll roll charisma and use it if you want it).

Hasan would try and give chase and put himself near where he things the next target of the atack would be.
Hold action.
Trigger: Enters range

OOC:

Hasan strikes, connecting.
OOC:
You guys have done 106/110 damage. I think I'm going to give it to you.
The creature falls to the ground, twitching and shivering as it's essence fades. The sandstorm in your area lessens slightly. As you patrol over the next few minutes, you see the same occurring elsewhere, then all of a sudden the wind stops and the suspended grit in the air just falls straight to the ground, and it's a sunny day.
Dec 19, 2019 6:20 am
Well done everyone. Let's get back to the tavern see if anyone needs help.
Dec 19, 2019 6:44 am
