A kid on my block had Renegade, which we played through quite a few times. My cousin and I used to rent Double Dragon fairly frequently. No idea why neither of us asked for it for Christmas or something. I had most of the TMNT games for NES and SNES, with Turtles in Time being a particular favorite. Oh, my brother and I tried to beat Battle Toads but were never successful. That game is damned hard.
Streets of Rage 4 is supposed to release sometime early next year. It looks really awesome, but I'll have to find a way to emulate it on a Mac laptop.
All good choices! The first time I played Turtles in Time was as an adult, and was pleasantly surprised how well it held up despite its similarity to TMNT II.
Scott Pilgrim and Streets of Rage 4 make me happy - I'm glad the video game industry hasn't outgrown that style of game just because we have "graphics" and "good writing" in games now. :)
