Just rode into town...

Hey all!

I've been gaming for a few years, but after one of my in-person games fell apart, I thought I'd try a bit of pbp as well. I've played Pathfinder, I'm in an ongoing 5E game, and I've run and played several one-shots of various systems.

Part of why I'm joining is because I want to scratch the gaming itch with lesser-known systems. I'd love to play and run more GUMSHOE, Star Wars FFG, 13th Age, and a few other systems, but figure it makes the most sense to start playing first and get a feel for the process.

GP seems like a great community, and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Hey there. GP has given me the ability to try out a bunch of new systems that I had never even heard of before. This format is really good for that and luckily, there are enough people on here that don't want to only play D&D ;)

That is good to know! I was actually going to recommend just jumping into a game, even if it is not your first choice for system, so you get to try new thing and explore the site! Not sure how the others feel, but I think this is a good way to jump into the community (as opposed to waiting for the "right game" to open)

Thanks! That's more or less what I was planning on doing. I've got a couple join requests out, and I'll probably send a few more if I don't get a response in the next few days. I'm still getting used to the play-by-post pace, so don't want to over-commit right out of the gate.
