Petrix's grenade slowed down going against the sustained fire from the Gargoyles and fell much closer to his brothers than intended. Elyas and Ar'Mat felt the heat of the explosion even through their battle armour and the ground started burning a few inches from their feets.
The hormagaunts in melee receive the worst of it thinning the rank goint fromM12 to M10 while the incoming ones were less touched going from M20 to M19.

The good thing is that the whole center on the room was now a burning pyre and the incoming Hormagaunt would have to move around, gaining a precious few seconds to the team.

Fully automatic fire was Brother Kenshen's instinct to the presence of the so-called Warrior, and ignoring all other targets in the space between the muzzle of the Heavy Bolt and its target were merely incidental.

@Kenshen BS 53 + 20 FAB+ 10 range +20 size-20 running. 64/83 mean 1 DOS or 2 hits of your FAB. Edit: The Warrior dodge one hit, you can roll for damage for 1 hit.
Kenshen's fire started astray in the chaos of the burning, slashing and screaming room. By sheer force of arms and will, he corrected his aim and focus on the Warrior fast enough to hit him through the chest with the end of burst. With surprising reflexes for a creature of this size, the Xenos twisted his frame to deflect part of the bolts and forged through the rest without slowing.

Cloten resists the urge to charge the huge warrior, his fingers twisting with the imagined feel of his chainsword digging into its flesh. Instead he spots the gargoyles firing a weapon, stows his chain sword, and aims for them with the heavy flamer.

@Cloten you are still in melee with 10 magnitude of Hormagaunt, they do not allow you to use and aim a heavy weapon. You'd need to move out of there reach (a half action provoking a free attack from them) either by going in the air with the jump pack, into burning spot of the incendiary grenage or forward toward the running Warrior and the other horde of Hormagaunt.

Ar'Mat took notice of the wounds he took but remained standing stoically. Even the appearance of the Tyranid Warrior, and the shadow to cast about his mind was no deterrent. He was a Salamander, and he would die standing, and his enemies would burn.

"The large one is psychically active brothers. It likely directs this horde."

Ar'Mat will use his flamer if he can, but if he is engaged in melee and can't (basic weapon), he will use his Avenger psychic power instead. He will try to include the Warrior in the strike area if he can. He will use fate for a reroll on the psychic activation if it fails.

Like Cloten, Ar'Mat would need to step away from the melee to fire the flamer. The only space available is the burning promethium in the middle of the room. Funny thing, you would roll for catching on fire only at the beginning of your next turn and a Spaces marine in power armor would suffer limited consequences of being on fire for a few turn. (d10-TB damage per round and stacking fatigue).

Stein, Cloten and Elyas continues to fight of the hormagaunt horde on their position, hacking and firing furiously at their numbers. Hormagaunt M10->M4

The last of the Hormagaunts circle around the burning pyre of promethium and burning Tyranid flesh to joins the melee. Hormagaunt M4 and M19.
The battle-brothers in the front do a great job weathering the assault, they are scratched and battered, but are holding without more serious injuries.

The Gargoyle's M15 and M5 mass fire from the ceiling continues, one of the horrible beetle-like creature they are shooting piercing through Petrix's armour and borrows into his flesh. Petrix tough it out without being seriously wounded.

The Warrior stop and raises two of his four arms toward Kenshen. A disgusting reservoir of flesh and chitin start shooting maggot that exploded into corrosive go. Most of those explode through the flame and melee before reaching but one aim true.

Kenshen will have to dodge it or receive 11 wounds on his left arm as the acid eat at his flesh through the burned seals of the armour.

Dodge is a reaction. It doesnt take any time, but you are limited at one by turn unless you have specific talents. So fire away!

Of the incoming barrage one of the borrowing lifeforms made it blast the hellfire gauntlet, and still, Ken did his best to deflect it from making a solid purchase, but spending no further time considering the action, passed his reflex. The Heavy Bolter opens up again in a fury.

Elyas keeps targeting the biggest melee groups first, offering words of praise towards Kenshen "Good work, brother. Couldn't have done it better myself." Elyas would have preferred his bolter but the tight quarters of melee forced him to melee on his pistol.
