Hi all long time PbP player coming back to the fold. Most games I have played, most character concepts I have played, and at this point I am just looking mainly for a game that will last as I am aware that PbPs can be a bit here today gone tomorrow -- in the past I outlived almost every GM I played under and numerous players when I was the GM.
What I end up doing is completely up to the GM as I am a roleplayer and there as been many a time I stepped in to fill a lost players shoes because the character was kind of integral to things thus far. I have also created characters from scratch but I like 3D characters when I do this which requires the GMs input as the world they are running is that 3rd-Dimension.
I have played numerous systems over the years and can step into just about any gaming system out there and for those that I do not know I learn exceptionally quick but those are just the crunchy bits and again if I get a chance to do solid roleplaying those crunchy bits become secondary -- but I will not do complete freeform as without structured-guides and a-bit-of-randomness the game does not feel much like a game so even if secondary those crunchy bits are important.
Hope to see you around -- and I really really hope this is not one of those forums where everyone has to addition for a game because I have yet to find a GM that does that to be even worth that level of effort.
