Here's the character creation summary from the Tomorrow Legion's players' guide (page 14).

RACE
„ Choose a Race, apply resulting modifiers. (see SWADE core rulebook)

ICONIC FRAMEWORK
„ Choose an Iconic Framework not excluded by your Race, noting Edges, Hindrances, Skills, and other modifiers.

HERO’S JOURNEY
„ If playing a MARS character, roll on the MARS Fortune & Glory Table, page 44.
„ Roll on the Hero’s Journey tables as listed for your Iconic Framework.
„ Roll for Narrative Hook to determine how your character ties to the story.

HINDRANCES
„ Select up to 4 points of Hindrances (Major Hindrances are worth 2, Minor are worth 1).
„ For 2 Hindrance points you can raise an attribute one die type or choose an Edge.
„ For 1 Hindrance point you can gain another skill point or gain additional Starting Funds equal to twice your Iconic Framework’s starting amount.

ATTRIBUTES
„ Attributes start at d4. You have 5 points to distribute among them for 1 point each step.
„ Attributes may not be raised beyond d12 unless your hero’s racial bonus or Iconic Framework states otherwise.
„ Increasing attributes reduces the cost of buying linked skills and allows a character to obtain more powerful Edges.

SKILLS
„ Athletics, Common Knowledge, Notice, Persuasion, and Stealth are core skills and start at d4 for free—see Expanded Skill Applications starting on page 69.
„ More Skill Points is a Setting Rule, you have 15 points to put into skills.
„ Each die type costs 1 point up to and equal to the linked attribute; then 2 points per step after that.

DERIVED STATISTICS
„ Strain maximum (see page 69) is the lower of Spirit or Vigor die type.
„ Pace is 6″ but may be changed by racial abilities, Edges, or Hindrances.
„ Parry is 2 plus half of Fighting.
„ Toughness is 2 plus half of Vigor, plus any Armor.

EDGES
„ Born a Hero is a Setting Rule; ignore Rank Requirements during character creation.
„ Use any leftover Hindrance points to take Edges if you like.
„ Each Edge costs 2 Hindrance points, Humans begin with a Novice Edge as usual.
„ If playing a MARS character, take four Advances per the rules in Savage Worlds.

GEAR
„ Gain the Starting Gear listed for your Iconic Framework and roll for credits, see Standard Starting Gear on page 81.

So this is Chay Blaise, Operator Extraordinaire. I can adapt his backstory to whatever fits whatever group and adventure we end up in.

Chay doesn't remember how he came to be alive. He simply remembers just "being". As a youngster, his memories begin as the equivalent of a teenage boy. He lived in a sort of commune that was doing what it could to eek out an existence under the cruel and smothering rule of The Coalition. He loved to drive as a young boy. Anything that moved, that he could control, he was in it or on it. His elders supported and encouraged him, because they felt it would keep him out of trouble and teach him something useful. One of their means of survival was dealing in Black Market goods. The profit was good and the items were often very useful, even lifesaving for their group. It came to pass that one of the transport drivers was killed and a replacement was needed. Chay was the obvious choice and he jumped at the chance. The illicit thrill and the idea of driving for a reason, sometimes under the very noses of the Coalition, was too sweet and exciting to turn down. With time and practice he became an excellent driver, learning evasive maneuvers across a range of vehicles and by necessity, their repair. He became somewhat notorious and eventually came to the attention of The Tomorrow Legion.

Chay looks human even though he isn't. His face is a little longer, and he has no nose as humans know it, just a pair of slits. He has dark brown eyes and hair and a slim but short muscular build. He loves attention and loves his notoriety, but he is not arrogant or a braggart. He is thankful that he can survive and help others in spite of the Coalition. He likes to laugh and can tell a few good jokes.

P.S. I should be able to help heal people with magic. I will try to cover the mystical magical occult world.
I dont know what people are going to cover but I know operators are great with tech and bursters are great at putting out the hurt.

Oh each time you use psychic power it costs some ISP.
It comes back to you over time.

The more you have the more you can call on your powers.

Mel, the rulebook talks about ISP and PPE a little bit on P.12 under Iconic Frameworks. I imagine it has more details elsewhere too but I haven't come across it yet.

How many pts for skills do we start with ?

1) In the SWADE you start with athletics, common knowledge, notice, persuasion, stealth + 12pts
2) In the Savage Rifts you start with 15pts

You get the free skills at D4 from 1 and you get 15 pts.
Its a setting rule since there is so much advanced tech.

Hmmmm we are mostly a people level party we have no Robot pilots, Power armor types.

You could either just fit in with the gang any iconic would do, if you wanted to join more of a people scale game.
Or you could fill the hole we are missing and give us a heavy hitter able to handle the big threats.

We have a good vehicle thanks to the Operator.

I'm not sure that one will outclass that other, despite their rhetorical descriptions, but not sure how much mega damage scales here - didn't seem overwhelming in SW. I don't know if there is any healing skills in the group yet.

I kind of like how SW has dealt with MDC

though some sub demons should no longer be called subdemons as you need those huge robots, Glitterboys, Samas etc to deal with them. Their toughness and armor is so high that even MD human scale weapons wont hurt them. Unless the dice explode really nice for you.

Otherwise the armor people wear being non MDC is kind of nice, you can have some muscle bound d bee in the burbs jump a Coalition Deadboy and actually be a threat like wise that Vibroblade doesn't automatically vaporise the D bee in Savage Worlds the way it would in Palladium.

Its kind of nice and a little refreshing

Kyron seeing the monster of a dogboy twitches slightly.
His eyes looking for Coalition soldiers. His body shifts a bit protectively in front of Ana almost on a subconscious level.

"I am really hoping your not in the Coalition Killhound. Are they juicing their dogboys now ? Where are my manners, you asked our names. I am Kyron." Kyron looked to Ana to see if she was ok with him introducing her.

Ana looked at Chay, smiling as she waved a little. As soon as Kyron stepped in front of her, Ana's nerves skyrocketed. She didn't really know what a killhound was...but they sounded bad based on his tone. Ana just looked up at him in return, the fear evident in her eyes.

Feeling bad for Ana, Chay softened. I am ok once you get to know me. It's the nose you see. I don't have one. People don't like that so I wear this kerchief around my face most of the time. He removes it to show two slits where a human nose would be. I almost look human so it comes as a shock. Even in this world full of oddities. But I blame the Coalition. They encourage the hatred of people like me. And I wasn't kidding about the car sickness. There aren't too many drivers better than me. In all things I am cautious except for that. I drive like a lunatic. It's how I stay alive. And when I drive, I am free.

Chay, tapping his thigh, looked warily at the dogboy. You're an odd sort. What's your story?

Looking at Ana's fearful reaction to him, Kill Hound's shoulder slump, his ears flatten on his head and his tail stops waggling...
"Me sorry... Me always scare humans...", answering Kiron and Chay's question, "They create me to hunt and kill D-bees at Tolkien. Me only Dog Boy juicer. Me experiment, test, disposable... They mean with Kill Hound, after war, I flee. Found group of humans with lots of very small humans. I stay hidden and follow. When big demon attack them, I defend them. Me not want to see small humans hurt... After that they ask me stay with them. Kill Hound happy protecting humans."

What Chay said is true we kind of live in fear and hiding because of the Coalition, me doubly so because of my practice of magic. Thank you Kill Hound for protecting those people. I heard about the war at Tolkeen. It sounds like it was a horrible war. This is Ana, over there is Chay. I think you met with the Tomorrow Legion. I know our reactions were defensive but a dogboy so close and one that is a juicer, that might just be a death sentence under different circumstances."

Edit: 8 = Micro exoskeleton enhancements in the upper torso and arms give your hero a +1 to all Strength checks and fighting damage rolls.

13 = Extraordinary craftsmanship and lightweight materials mean your adventurer’s suit has its Strength Minimum reduced by one die type, while still gaining +1 Armor. This result may be applied up to two times.

Basically, Ana is good at Smarts and Spirit...and that's it

She's bad at fighting, at melee, anything agility...however, she's good at most Smarts things, such as science, research, etc

And Chay is all about driving and shooting and he can fix almost anything along with improvising gadgets. He is also top notch at noticing what's going on around him (good thing, the way he drives).

Kyron is ok at archery, shooting and if need be fighting D6 in shooting, Fighting.
He is good at smarts things, occult lore and knowledge D8, Common Knowledge D8 so he is a good backup driver, can use computers and has studied the world and different areas as well as creatures. He is pretty good at talking with non coalition people, especially so with federation people or mages, occultists or psychics. Persuasion D6 and Enchanting Appearance.

He admitted to Chay that he isn't very good with electronics and mechanics or he might have tried getting into Techno Wizardry.
So he appreciates having Chay around since the man knows the magic of mechanics, electronics and all that.

I think most of my magic trappings will be Astral Light a kind of ectoplasm and light which fits with how he found himself on Rifts Earth. It would be effective against spirits, entities and things especially vulnerable to light like vampires and shadow beasts. It would probably be flashy. Burster and gear: it doesn't list wrecking all your stuff as a complication when you flame on, and the image shows a clothed Burster a-bursting, so let's say that your control over the flames keeps your personal gear protected even if you fully immolate, unless it says otherwise somewhere

Mine says begin with standard starting gear for the Burster also.

They probably rethought things from the first time around where they denied the burster armor just assuming they would always use the +6 Mega Damage Armor from Bursting.

Yes they get all standard gear so you should get armor the only bad thing is the +6 flame aura protection can stack with natural and the protection power but not worn armor which I dont know why.

Don't worry about it. When we actually start playing, the differences are mainly houserule type differences. You've got the world information in that book, and I'll let you know if we need to adjust anything on your sheet to match the Adventure Edition.

Ana your RIGHT you dont need to worry about people getting close. This Fiery Aura of yours is damn cool you can even add 1d6 to fighting attacks so pick up a sword instant flaming sword. Anyone near you at the end of a round takes 3d6. You can make the flames Mega damage.

Fire Mastery can let you do tests !

Ng is heavier and a bit more rugged. Its also allowed in Coalition territory.

Wilks is lighter a bit more accurate but is not legal in Coalition territory.

Almost done remaking Kill Hound... Chose hindrances more in line with his temper (illiterate and loyal instead of bad-luck) and added the Rich edge to make-up with the lost hero's journey rolls I lost (Had 5 with the explorers edition, now I have 2... Rich adds another 2). He's rich because of all the High-Tech equipment he had when he deserted the CS, he gave most of it to the tomorrow legion when he arrived and they insisted to pay him with some credits...

I thought that might fit, you also said you lost pack mates to a dragon that is pretty traumatic.

They also have Juicer upgrades all for Novice Juicers you might want to think about, they are all an edge you can only have one.

Players may select one of the Juicer
Edges at character creation or
anytime thereafter. They are
available as a special treatment
involving upgrading the Bio-
Comp system. All Juicer Upgrade
Treatments are mutually exclusive.
A Juicer can only ever have one
and can never change it.

DELPHI JUICER TREATMENT
Requirements: Novice, Juicer
Delphi Juicers combine the M.O.M.
and Juicer bio-comp systems, amplifying
latent psychic aptitude. Delphi Juicers
are exempted from the normal Juicer
restrictions barring psionics and become
a Minor Psionic, gaining Psionics d6,
Arcane Background (Psionics), 10 ISP, and
choosing three powers from the Crazy’s
list of psionics.
There are dangers of psychic overload,
however. When a Delphi Juicer rolls a
Critical Failure on a Psionics check, she
goes Berserk and must lash out at the
closest target, whether friend or foe, with
extreme violence,per the Berserk Edge,

HYPERION TREATMENT
Requirements: Novice, Juicer
Even faster than most Juicers, Hyperions
run like the wind and possess incredible
reaction times. The Juicer triples his base
Pace and doubles his jump distance with
a running start. He also discards and
redraws initiative cards of 8 or lower
(instead of 5 for Quick).
This hyper-metabolism comes at a cost.
The Juicer must consume twice as much
food as normal or become Fatigued.

MEGA-JUICER TREATMENT
Requirements: Novice, Juicer
Mega-Juicers are super-soldiers
created by combining the powers of
the bio-comp nanites with sub-dermal
nanotech relays channeling ambient
psychic energy through their body
in a loop, turning them into nearly
indestructible juggernauts! Mega-Juicers
are Unstoppable. Permanently. Until
they explode.
The Juicer reduces his Burn by one as his
life-force fuels the creation of an energy
dynamo within. When a Mega-Juicer
reaches the end of his lifespan due to
Burn, his eyes begin to glow blazing
white and his skin becomes scorching
hot to the touch. Whether he goes out
in a Blaze of Glory or is Incapacitated by
an enemy attack, he combusts—dealing
4d12+12 Mega Damage to everyone and
everything in a Large Blast Template.

PHAETON TREATMENT

Requirements: Novice, Juicer
Phaeton Juicers, named after the first
daredevil of Greek mythology, have
a knack for mastering any mode of
transportation—they can pilot, ride,
drive, or handle anything. Their nanites
and bio-comp system are calibrated to
provide them with hyper-enhanced
proprioception and reaction times.

Whenever Phaetons make unskilled
Agility-based skill checks, they do so at
d4 instead of the usual d4−2. Additionally,
attackers are −1 on attack rolls targeting
any vehicle, vessel, or mount under the
Phaeton Juicer’s control, and is +1 to
Evade. This stacks with bonuses from
abilities like Nimble.

TITAN TREATMENT
Requirements: Novice, Juicer
Titan Juicers are the result of
experiments to push the human form
to its maximum size. The Titan gains +2
Strength die types and +1 Vigor die type
(for a total of +4 and +3 each), and his
Size increases by +2—the end result
gives them a total of +3 Toughness
between the Vigor and Size boosts.
This all comes at a cost, though.
The Titan Juicer’s Super Speed ability is
reduced to just Pace 8 running d8, with
no Jumping bonus. Additionally, the
Titan has his Burn reduced by one, as the
transformation ravages his body. Lastly,
the Titan Juicer gains the Big Negative
Racial Ability. He probably needs to get
a new wardrobe, too!

I had taken "Split The Seconds", but I have to admit I'm REALLY Interrested in the Titan Treatment. Especially with my roll on the Hero's Journey: Body Armor table, that allows me to choose any armor... (Titan Plate Heavy Armor... +7 armor, +3 Toughness, MDC Armor, made for size 1 to 3 creatures...). The titan treatments fits really well with Tipolei since Kill Hounds are supposed to be much larger than Dog Boys...
I think I'll make the switch !!

If you want to stealthily kill stick with vibro the chainsword is probably very loud.

The JA-11 seems pretty versatile even has a hunting rifle option and Heavy Beam means it can do Mega Damage.

The JA-12 trades out the hunting rifle and ion shotgun effect for grenades. Grenades are pretty powerful and give you the option to effect areas.

The NG rifle holy hell lot of damage. So dont know what to tell you here. Is it plasma or ion ?

Shooting applies to all ranged weapons. There aren't separate skills for carried versus mounted. The SWADE book even refers specifically to Shooting for using missiles (other than those that use missile lock, the lone exception I could find).

Bio systems aren't (They heal or replace but don't augment) or at some point in the future I do have Healing.
Just food for thought if in the future you want to buy off that hindrance there are ways.

In the book Savage Foes of North America they indicate a sample code of conduct for a NPC Cyber Knight they've provided. This one is based on the European knight traditions, rather than from another culture. Ben's code should represent his background, but he is free to use this one for simplicity. His choice.

With this code, I don't think Ben has violated anything. He did not fail to protect the innocent, as the demon can not be considered to be innocent.

If anything, does a tendency toward mercy extend to criminals subdued by force and executed? I think that would be extreme, unless Ben does the executing himself without fair explanation of his judgement and sentence.

Unless Tim Burton is directing, Batman doesn't kill, and he is certainly all of those things. That being said, I was more thinking that the demon was a captive prisoner and not able to fight back. Enemy or otherwise, executing a defenseless being seemed like it might violate the code. I guess not so much.

You also have to remember even though the name Knight is in there with Cyberknight they were patterened after the lone ranger originally. Traveling the land righting wrongs, fighting tyrants, confronting gunslingers etc. This world though has demons and other things in it.
