Ben quickly notes the location of the various threats on the map, and makes sure to keep track of where they were first spotted. He turns himself towards where the closest threat is, and slowly walks backwards in the direction of Echo. "Let's make sure these things can't cut anyone away from the group," Ben says over the intercom.

You hear the crashing before you see the forms menacing from the snow storm. Four forms, no five one further in front behind the others, all leaping for you.
OOC:
Initiative will be by cards, counting down from Aces to Twos. Jokers go anytime and get +2 Trait checks as well.
Tipolei goes first, then the demons. They're about 10 paces away from the group, two in front, one to the right, one to the left, and one another 6 paces behind the ones in front.

Already aware of the enemies presence, Tipolei was ready when they sprung their ambush. He unleashes a hail of ion blasts from his JA-11 rifle on the first two demons in front of him...
OOC:
Using two actions (-2 penalty to all actions)
-Action 1 on demon 1: 3x ion shots, 10 ammo used (+2 bonus to hit for shotgun effect, -2 from recoil, -2 from multi-actions, unknown bonus/penalty from size difference)
-Action 2 on demon 2: 3x ion shots, 10 ammo used (+2 bonus to hit for shotgun effect, -2 from recoil, -2 from multi-actions, unknown bonus/penalty from size difference)

-I was scared for a moment, but no critical fail here (p.88) Has to be more than half the dices that roll 1's, and the wild die must be a 1 as well... close call...

-Will use a bennie to reroll Action 1, shot 2 and another one to reroll Action 2, shot 2 (-2 bennies)

-Action 1, shot 1 (4) and shot 2 (4) hits for 12 and 21 damage (AP --, no mega damage)
-Action 2, shot 1 (wild die 12) and shot 2 (5) hits for 4+1 and 9 damage (AP --, no mega damage)

-2 free actions to holster his rifle on his back and take out Justice's Hammer...

Tipolei's weapon buzzes as it propels its ammunition at high velocity at the nearest demon. It raises a shield in defense. While four rounds seem to strike it and tiny chunks of armor explode off of its shield in clouds of dust, it doesn't seem to be worse for the wear.
OOC:
Even the 21 damage doesn't penetrate its armor and toughness, although it was close.
The creatures move forward, unhindered by the snow. They run, and if they they very close enough, they'll attack.

The one Tipolei attacked moves to 3 paces away.
The other one in front moves up to Tipolei, and attacks with its demonic spear.
The one to the left moves up and attacks Kai with its demonic spear.
The one to the right moves up and attacks Ben with its demonic spear.
The one in the back moves up 8 paces, now 7 paces from Tipolei and or Ben.

The demons all miss I their first attacks.

Note: everybody attacked needs to make Fear checks or be Shaken.

Three demons are in melee with your team, so maybe not the best targets. The two not engaged are on the far side of Tipolei, call it 9 and 13 paces away from Echo.

Multi action penalty -2
Only get one wild die, but you can apply it to whichever attack you want
First attack: 14-2=12 hits with raises, so +1d6 damage. AP 20 vs toughness 24(12) reduced to toughness 12. Damage 46 means success with like 8 raises. Wounded to death and then some.
Second attack: apply wild die to attack, 16-2 hits with raises, so +1d6 damage. Damage is success plus 8 raises, so also dead dead, not just hanging around making snow demons with your buddies dead. No need to roll the extra 1d6s.

Your roll is just the Shooting, but the extra d6 can be your Wild die. However, Chay is killing the two not in melee, so did you want to choose another target?

Kyron turned hearing the snow explode and the ion blasts.

He took a involuntary step back when he saw the demons they were as big as Tipolei but they were not on his side. He saw the last of the ion blasts hit one but it didn't even seem to slow it. A blast of mist came from the mask rising into the air as Kyron let out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding.

He saw a particle stream come from behind him and then saw two streaks from missiles. It was hard to now see the demons in the distance the snow there exploded. Clinging to his shotgun he turned it aiming at one of the ones fighting Tipolei. He didn't like his friend being surrounded like that.

He chanted but it wasn't a spell...please hit please please hit.
