Oh I thought about the rifle thing the JA-11 definitely you can switch to ion which has a ROF of 3 and the shotgun effect of +2 to shooting. You can use the laser for better range and sniping, the hunting rifle option for not vaporizing dear and rabbits etc. We need to have a lot of food for you and Kai.

Grrrrr. Fiery aura nerfed.....

Everyone kind of got nerfed a bit in the new edition.
They wanted to try and balance things a bit with the new power modifiers. Everyone can do Mega Damage now by spending 2PP more, so it took away the mega powers that existed and just made them mega power modifiers and damn they can be expensive but some are pretty nice. The Burster edges can really help out so as you gain advances look at them.

Help, there's a confusing section: It says I can learn powers from my arcane background with the New Powers edge...but is that also changed by the power list for my Frame or for ANY from the psionics background?

If it is an edge you picked it comes from the psionics from your iconic psionics.

If it came from the random rolls it can be any power even outside your list.
