"I knows its yer first time 'ere we don't get stumpies in 'ere all dat oft'n so..." she begins and then surprisingly reaches down and picks up an even more surprised Brindel and sets him on her hip like a child, "what will ya 'ave Mamz a buy'n, we gotta horse ah roastin on da spit just carve off a chunk." She says this as she moves over to the pit in the center of the Inn putting the meat within arms reach of Brindel leaving the rest of his group behind. "We've got some mighty stiff grug dat 'ood set ya toes afire iffin ya like. So what it be?"

While extremely unusual for Brindel he can tell that she is not mocking him, and in fact seems quite happy of course he has never experienced this kind of Yroc behavior before as well he's never met one except at the end of his axe.

DeJoker sent a note to GeneCortess
In response to Kendra's tune and the transpiring events a Yroc begins to drum out a rhythm upon his chest and begins to sing, which is quickly joined in by many others. The tune is not difficult for Kendra if she wishes to join in but she'll have to put some effort into the music if she wants to even have her flute be heard. The lyrics seem to be some kind of welcoming song aimed at returning warriors.

Brindel is not only surprised but aghast. His face has the look of someone falling to his death. Doing his best to keep his composure, Brindel says tersely, "Grog. Thank you. And I need to get down and back to my companions."

"They got legs," she gestures a thumb over her left shoulder, "besides we need to get you that... Grug," she emphasizing the pronunciation, "so would you like a hunk of meat to chew on while we get that Grug or do you just want Grug?" Brindel does notice that if she were to put him down he would actually need to climb up and almost step into the fire pit to get some meat due to his height and arm reach. Perhaps its the reason she picked him up to begin with. Meanwhile the song continues quite resoundingly, and while it might be a Yroc song its lyrics are quite profoundly respectful considering they seem to be singing it on his behalf... maybe. This was so unusual it was very hard to interpret or digest it all.

Brindel is not thinking about the music or Mamzrik's reasoning, just her actions. "Just Grug," he says, matching her pronunciation, "and I have legs and prefer to use them."

Kendra feels the crowd, and switch to her lute. Then she joins the Yroc rhythm, and pick up the song as well. She might now know this Yroc song or at least a version of it.
The theme of returning warriors is a popular one, she knows a dozen others

Shump attention seems to be directed really on Lex and not much else. I know of the tower. Do you plan to go there? Appears he has taken notice that your in a group of people. He continues on without a pause for the answer to his question. The way there is rather has many dangers.

Okay runekyndig maybe I was not clear -- they are singing in Yroc not Human (aka common) as such no you do not know the lyrics as you cannot even speak the language however you have heard this tune or at least something similar enough to not have any penalties trying to play it -- still its not one you are well versed in either ;) apparently --- Note though 2 more points and yeah I would have said even though you do not understand the words you do know the song -- so close I had to check to see if you knew Yroc or not

Yes, I understand it is dangerous. But with danger comes opportunity. We are allowed to keep whatever we find. Our group is comprised of specialists in many disciplines. We have healers, magic users, and combat specialists. But we are sorely lacking an experienced guide with knowledge of the area. Would you like to join us?

I am not sure if it was understood and I am thinking it was not but I thought or meant it as an assigned guide aka just let the guide know he had been assigned - kind of thing. Might have to work on my presentation and make some things a bit clearer going forward -- still my bad and sorry if it created confusion

Shump simply says, I'm your guide. When do you plan to leave? He gives a toothy smile as he listen to the music.

Having been rested from oversleeping prior, Kroog stands. "I'm ready now. Why wait?"

Kendra is dancing by playing a song:

...I didn't know I lost you till you're gone
Oh, Annette, you know I loved you till you were gone
So I gotta get up early in the morning
To find me another lover
So I gotta get up early in the morning
To find me another lover...

"Goodnuff," Mamz walks near the back wall and sets Brindel down on overturn half barrel and draws him a large tankard and then hands it too him, "Dare ya go, drink up enjoy, so watt brings ya to my Inn?"

Clam down everyone. Do we all have the supplies we need. Why don't we pick up some salt, holy water and then be on our way?
OOC:
I'm happy to skip roleplaying the shopping trip though lol. If anyone wants to shop, let's see if we can pick up some stuff and then head out?

Brindel looks uncomfortable but takes the tankard in his left hand. "Like I said, I am meeting my companions," he points to the table where they are at, "to discuss business. I need to join them now."

There are no tables in this Inn -- just half and 3/4 barrels (used as stools) full barrels as make-shift tables and none the group even moved let alone sat down so they seem to still be standing near the door
Mamz picks Brindel up and sets him on the floor and offers her hand to his empty hand. "Chall we join 'em den?"

Kendra whips her head around, still singing and playing, but aware of the general mood of the conversation. Whatever coins are passed her way for the performance is placed in the drinks & snacks pot for full group conversation. When the song is finished, she takes her bow and joins the group.

As Kendra bows but just before she moves to rejoin the others she is picked up and sat down on a barrel and presented with a Yroc face, "Ya play purty, play more... uh... pluz" the Yroc gives a smile? either that or he is wanting to eat her it was hard to really say.

Another Yroc near him says, "Yah... pluz."
