@qralloq, character looks good.

If you’re interested, I’ll post some vehicle mod options and rules. It’s stuff I’m mostly taking from Deadlands Hell on Earth, Reloaded. That game has a lot of great Mad Max style stuff

Remnant says:
So no smarty guy? Gotta have a smarty guy in the group to fix things and people plus tell everyone which veggies to eat or not eat (poisonous/hallucinogenic). I'll go that route if that's now on anyone's radar. I'll get started on Drill Roberts...
I have D4 in fauna, flora, and survival. Not much help but better than nothing.

Machiabelly says:
I have basic d4 in driving and no gear head tendencies. I can see it being handy.
I have a horse, but I was wondering if there was a riding dinosaur equivalent. And if so, how much do they cost and are they any better than a horse?
If you have the Riding skill, then that also covers domesticated dinosaur mounts. Certain species of dinos may incur penalties when riding them.

Domesticated dinosaurs are very expensive, mainly because wild dinos are difficult to break and tame. So most domesticated dinos had to be raised and trained from birth to tolerate humans. Even more so if the dinosaur is a carnivore. Most people with dino mounts or companions personally raised and trained them.

If you want a dinosaur mount, your options are to buy one or take the Dinosaur Master Edge (describes at the top of the thread. The Edge is your best bet unless you are filthy rich.

I’m at work at the moment, but when I get home I can post some stats for various dino options. Usually you’re choosing between small and fast or big and tough.

Okay check this: my character is an ex-poacher with a saber-toothed tiger companion. He’s modeled on King Ezekiel from The Walking Dead.

That’s... kind of fantastic. Go with it. Use the regular Beast Master Edge from the core book.

Ok character submitted thanks

I will stick with my horse then. I can't afford a dino.

Kay. Character is submitted. Did this pretty quick and dirty, not to mention this is my first time making a savage world character. So I expect there is some errors. Haven't picked out gear yet, I'm waiting to make sure I haven't fucked the rest up. I did take wanted (minor) for an extra 500 gold. Here's his backstory for those of you who care;
[ +- ] Tex McCoy

In this game a minor gets you an extra 2500. But all prices are double. It is in the first post.

Janey Greer has been submitted for approval. She's nothing special, but I like her. As I am largely unfamiliar with the C&D setting, I forewent a background, but if necessary, we can say that she has no memory of her past (which would make role-playing much easier for me).

Thank you! Don’t worry about familiarity. The setting is pretty straightforward. You’ll all pick it up quickly.

So looks like everyone’s character has been turned in. I’ll do last minute checks tonight but it seems like they all look good.

I’ll make the first post for the game in the next few days. If anyone has any questions, let me know.

My plan for this game is that you are all a group of troubleshooters hired by either the Old Bloods or the City in the Sea. You are being employed to look into (and possibly stop) potential threats, explore the countryside, escort civilians through the wilderness, retrieve resources, and similar activities too dangerous for the average resident of the City. Assume that a call for troubleshooters was put out and that your characters, for whatever reason, chose to answer it. You’re being paid for your work, though some of you might have other reasons for accepting the job. Maybe you’re also motivated by loyalty to the City or a desire to protect the Machinatio Vitae.

If you haven’t read it already, I suggest giving the setting guide that I posted a quick read.

It’s your choice if any of you want to establish that your characters know each other. Your characters can be residents of the City in the Sea, or maybe you live in the region. Or maybe your a nomad whose just passing through.

Here’s a very basic list of the characters:

James Cooper (Machiabelly) - Bounty hunter and gunslinger

Duke Bastitch & Zabu (99_Ninjas) - Wilderness scout with pet Smilodon

Hooker (PHIL490) - Academic and fighter.

Babs Bronceado (Qralloq) - Expert driver

Janet "Janey" Greer (Whtknt) - Adventurer, Jane-of-all-trades

Tex McCoy (optimumsquare) - Dinosaur cowboy/rancher

Drill Roberts (Remnant) - Old Blood Mechanic

I'm more of a 'New' Blood Mechanic... anyone? Ok... I sit down now... my mom would have thought it was funny.

Sounds good GM
Feb 11, 2020 1:25 pm
So what's everyone good at? I'm mostly a repair and medical build eventually.
Feb 11, 2020 1:48 pm
Babs is a Driver (with a vehicle) and a sniper
Feb 11, 2020 3:08 pm
Janey can shoot, and is fair at identifying the local fauna and tracking. She can also serve as a driver if it should come to that.
Feb 11, 2020 4:44 pm
James is very good at shooting, decent at gun repair and melee. Basic in survival, flora, and fauna.
