Riding, and surviving in the jungle

Shooting with guns and repairing stuff, took the McGyver Edge.

It seems like lots of us are taking similar skills. I can respec if that's helpful

Aside from Shooting (which I have an uncomfortable feeling we'll all need), I don't see a lot of overlap. I wouldn't worry about it. I think that we have a very diverse group.

Gotcha, also, forgot to mention, I took one of the dinosaur feets. If I understand correctly, I have a dino mount, whichever one the dm allows. I don't need anything fancy, I just want a mount. Also, for better or for worse, I would like my character arc to end riding a tyranosaur. I fully accept that this will most likely end with Tex getting eaten.

Maybe we need a trailer to pull behind the Bronco. Your mount would likely be awesome out in the world, but slow getting there.

I have a horse, also slower than a vehicle.

So is the GM still here? Lol

My apologies. Haven’t been getting notifications when people post, for some reason. It’s late so I’ll get back to you about the dinos tomorrow. For the moment, your Mount won’t be an immediate concern in game.

At the top right of the thread page there's the subscribe option if you have the site set up with your email you get notified when there's an update on a thread after you click that.

I've found that the notifications are intermittent, particularly with Gmail, so I simply check the site regularly. On the front page, near the bottom right is a link labeled Latest Parts that I find invaluable.

I posted some basic dino and creature stats for those who have unique mounts and companions... I think that’s mainly optimumsquare and 99_ninjas. And I will be posting again in a little while.

As far as travel goes, mounted individuals will definitely be slower than the cargo truck at first. However, the farther away you get from the City in the Sea, and the deeper into the jungle, the less common serviceable roads will become. Eventually, the terrain will make it so even motorized vehicles are required to travel more slowly and carefully. Some areas may need to be bypassed altogether. In these portions, mounts will certainly prove useful (unless you’re riding a huge ass dino with no maneuverability). That’s one of the reasons that horses are still popular as a mode of transportation.
