Episode 1 Scene 2a Gone Shopping

OOC:
Okay I am going to handle the shopping as one single unit so as to expose all who are going to these various locations and to make it wee bit easier on me ;) -- I am starting here to let all those going shopping to check in -- The Book Inn is nearly straight south of the Rock Inn but you have to travel SE then SW to get to it via the roads or cut through the market place maze of tents
The group had spent some time at the Rock Inn before some of them decided that they needed to go finishing some shopping the first destination was the Book Inn, then on to the Market and finally back to Mamz Inn as Brindel was not to keen on going back there again.

Feliani had asked if anyone else wanted to come along as she headed for the inn with the book-like symbol, in order to pick up the wine. She entered to see who she could speak to regarding it. Mamz Inn was her final destination after that.

Egret noticeably perked up at mention of the Book Inn, and eagerly volunteered to accompany Feliani - not as much intrigued by the vinegar, trusting his companion to handle it, but just wishing to see the place. Shahadur mentioned that he might enjoy it, and he wasn't someone who ignored friendly advice (as long as it wasn't about fashion). The name sounded promising, after all, and the tiefling was curios to see how different it would be from the inn they just were in.

Lex would also go with them. He is on the lookout for someone who might sell holy water or salt. He'd probably start with a general merchant and make enquiries there.

Brindel is glad to accompany the group everywhere but Mamz Inn.

The short journey north to the Book Inn went by fairly uneventfully as they circumnavigated the market place for now. The Book Inn was quite a contrast to the Rock Inn and for those that had been there a major contrast to Mamz Inn. It was equally tall but made of dark wood and semi-pyramidal shaped but being taller than it was wide and only narrowing slightly at the top which was flat. The stairs led up to a covered bridge like entry way and upon entering the group is greeted by a mouth appearing upon the inside door. "Greetings and welcome to the Bookend, please state the nature of your business."

Egret's eyebrows rise to his hairline in astonishment at the unusual greeting, but at the same time, he is intrigued - the Book Inn already promises to be far more in his field than the Rock Inn or the garrison will ever be. Its design is fascinating, and the talking door is a cherry on top - the tiefling wonders how it came to be, as the village seemed to him like it wasn't populated by many mages. Regardless, what a discovery!

"Greetings, friend!" the druid bows, even though he isn't sure if there is anyone to see the gesture. "We come here to acquire some supplies, as well as to satisfy our curiosity. I won't talk for my companions, but I'm most intrigued by this establishment, and would love to be allowed entry." He smiles towards the door, wondering if he was talking to the door, or someone behind a magical spell.

"Your respectfulness is duly noted and if I interpret your request correctly you wish a tour and certain supplies is that correct?"

Yes, and intelligent conversation is always welcome. Lex at your service he says with a bow.

"Specifically Chardonnay vinegar." Feliani chipped in, pleased to be in the company of the others.

OOC:
The Spicy Chardonnay Vinegar -- as Chardonnay itself is not vinegar -- its in the players notes ;)

OOC:
Ah, I didn't know whether Chardonnay was the brand name for the vinegar, or whether it's wine vinegar, or whether it was vinegar made from Chardonnay grapes, or whether it was Kezzel's affectionate/slang way of referring to either wine or vinegar as 'Chardonnay'. Thanks for the clarification.

"Very good, someone will be with you momentarily." the lips then disappear.

The foyer was nice although there were no chairs or benches, still the group did not have to wait long before a dark skinned fFolk man stepped through the door. "Greetings, who was it that wanted the Spicy Chardonnay Vineger?"
OOC:
"Stepped threw the door" is literal. The door does not open he just appears out of the door.

"We do." Feliani spoke in a polite tone. "How much does it cost for a bottle?"

OOC:
"Throwing the door" being literal would be even more amusing. XD
While waiting, Egret looks around the foyer, curios about the clearly magical establishment and making a note to maybe visit it later, when there's no mission looming on the horizon and no time limit. He turns to the fFolk appearing through the door, nodding in greeting and approaching to stand by Feliani's side.

The male fFolk looks at Feliani and replies, "The bottle and its contents are 4 dragons but if when you are done we will buy the bottle back from you for 2 dragons or refill it for 1 dragon." He then raises his hand with the palm in the direction of the group and scans them and then asks, "So who of you are wanting the tour?"
Feb 25, 2020 11:49 pm
I would love a tour. Oh and by the way would you happen to have any holy water or salt in stock?
Feb 26, 2020 12:13 am
"Yes we carry various salts. What particular type of salt are you needing and how much?"
Feb 26, 2020 12:18 am
I think we need white salt. It is for defensive purposes. I heard that we may be facing demons in the near future and I vaguely remember that salt can be effective against them. Have you heard anything about it?
