The Mandalorian looked at the enforcer and his summons. Was this man about to offer a bounty or mission to multiple parties? It could be. But the Jedi had wandered over, and that did not sit well. Warily the supercommando joined the group at the enforcer's table. The bowcaster remained holstered, but other weapons were in easy reach and the Mandalorian never let the Jedi out of its sight, nor was any word spoken to the enforcer. If there was to be an offer to be made to the people gathered, then it would be heard and weighed.

With your perception check the Zabrak can notice that more than a few unsavory types are here, none with a specific bounty but there is definitely someone selling spice sticks in the circle.

Vornu notices there is a fire exit in the back, and notices behind the bar a door, though the only thing he can see is more boxes and crates (probably for bottles of alcohol, and perhaps food). You also notice the codru-ji with a droid perched on their shoulder sitting another two stools from you.
Interesting. I don't ever remember seeing one of those droids resting? Is it resting, or is the owner a spy of some sort? Hmmm.

Vornu will study the droid to see if he notices anything unusual for a seeker. After studying it for a short time, Vornu notices his contact enter.

As Tovak enters, Vornu notices the reaction. The whole attitude has changed and the way those three got up and left quickly seems strange. A few moments later others start moving towards the booth and taking a seat.

Well this is what I wanted. Guess I best go join before I am left out.

Vornu grabs what's left of his drink and walks over to the booth. Watching the reactions of other customers as this small figure joins a table with the imposing individual that seems to command respect and inflicts fear in others.

Roll a 1d20 for me Kadal. As you join the large smuggler Jace smiles at you individually, his charming attitude is one that seems odd to match his own looks, Glad you all found the place, I'm sure for some of you its a little beneath what you're used to.

It is... different to what I know from Alpheridies. But that is why I want to see the galaxy, to get to know things that we don't have back home. Nunyeh says, as she approaches. She sits down next to Tovak, leaving space for the others who are now converging on the booth. The Miraluka happily notices, that the Java, as well as the Jedi were on their way to the booth.
Maybe I can learn a thing or two from them...

Never in 20 years of TTRPGs did I ever roll a natural 1 until I got to these BS message board dice simulators with copy/paste math algorithms. I feel your pain!

Vessi smiles warmly to the others gathering at the table. Her droid looks at each person in turn, pausing for a few moments before focusing on the next person.

Holojournalism sometimes requires going to places polite society pretends doesn't exist. This is far from the worst place I've been to. At least here there is no pretending; some "high society" Vessi physically makes the air quotes Soirees have people not so subtly plotting the murder of someone else there. Problem is, high society people tend to be afraid to do their own dirty work, the cowards. This place has a certain sense of purity, if any of these patrons are plotting to kill you, you can be reasonably certain that they will probably handle it personally. I think there is a sense of honor in handling your own business. But that is not always possible, hence the need for bounty hunters, espionage specialists, enforcers, and so on and so on.

Vessi looks around at the others that have joined the table. It would seem that you have a need for a very diverse grouping of sentients. Makes me curious as to what the almost legendary Jace Tavok needs done that he is unable to accomplish himself.

Ahh there it is, see the thing is, the almost legendary part is becoming less and less almost, I have a job, and it will pay well, but because of my reputation doing jobs inside the inner rim is almost impossible now. he smiles at the group, so I have the group of you to thank for the next score. I hope.

For once Mal truly was caught off guard. First the Mandalorian arrived at the table, and the skin on Mal's arm braced. Then Jace Tavok seemed to think Mal was going to work a 'score' for him. "Score? I'm out Jace. You should know better." Instinct and timing demanded that this was the moment Mal slide himself out of the booth and walk out of the Kaadu Palace. But the Mandalorian was in the way, and Mal wasn't going to be the cause of a scene. Mal was stuck, and Jace knew it. Blasted luck, Mal said darkly to himself.

He would have to trust to the Force for the next few moments. Channel calm, peace. Maybe it was good that he was going to have to witness whatever Jace Tovak was up to. Time would tell.

"Un baa nye loo ugama dooka, eyeta?" Mal said to the curious Jawa at the table. Mal liked the species, he admired their toughness and persistence. Had a number of dealings with Jawa traders on an outer rim planet called Tatooine when he was running down some gangsters in Hutt Territory.

The group? The Mandalorian considered the words carefully. It implied that cooperation with this unprofessional rabble would be required. At least the Jedi was out of the way. Still, the idea of working with these incompetent womp-rats was out of the question.
"I don't work with amateurs. Give me the mission."
The voice was a intimidating artificial burst. Somewhere in the Mandalorian's helmet was a vox-synthesizer or a translator.

You are quick to assume our incompetence, Mando. Nunyeh turned to the armored individual. Not much of her face was visible because of her mask, but her lips were smiling.

Noticing the Mandalorian, Kadal hunkers down a bit and takes note of the quickest way out of Kaadu while also keeping an eye on the activity surrounding this possible threat.

Nice. Just what I need. A mando lurking about. He says softly to himself.
Mar 3, 2020 5:46 pm
Whatever response Nunyeh hoped to get from the Mandalorian wasn't coming. All she got was her own reflection from an uncaring helmet that remained aimed at Jace Tavok.
Mar 3, 2020 7:52 pm
Sitting at the end of the booth, he listens to the conersation before speaking up.
"Good thing you don't work with Amateur Mandalorian. That why we accept your presence amongst. If you anything less a professional, be worried. Now, think someone of reputation would put all together if not equal in their own skill?

This ought to be an interesting group and I just can't wait to hear what our job be.

Right I understand your hesitance Jedi, but there is a particular reason I reached out to your contact Master Onph. Jace chuckles as his drink is delivered by one of the droids from the bar, now as you probably can guess the worst thing to happen to a smuggler is get any kind of attention, so now I run more contracts. He sips the drink makes a face and then asks, what do you know about the planet Corellia?
OOC:
Make a Lore Skill check (if not proficient Intelligence check).
Mar 4, 2020 2:11 am
"Correllia," Mal shrugged. "Old, big industry. Lot's of corruption. Never worked there myself. Why?"
