OOC:
So, bumping for Guy's go. He and the cops outside are the only people who haven't acted. If nezzeraj isn't able to post, we can move on, since he's sort of away from the action inside for the moment.

OOC:
No word from Nezzeraj. Hope all's well with him. But we can resolve outside stuff later if need be.
Still reeling from his injuries, Jimmy breaks away from the cops and moves toward the door, flinging it open. "Uh... I'm out."
OOC:
He's used two maneuvers and can't exit just yet. PC is up!

OOC:
Bump! What are y'all doing in the gym? (Also, still happy to play out Guy's adventures outside.)
Aug 8, 2020 3:34 am
OOC:
Am I also engaged with the enforcers? Also is there an incidental check I might be able to make to see how messed up Hank is as it stands?
Aug 8, 2020 1:45 pm
OOC:
Sorry sorry, life's been busy. Everything is all good now.
Now that Guy has ran over one of the cops, he's going to drive away and see if any of the standing cops follow. If not, he'll head to where the Pantones (sp?) are and ferry some of them to the gym as backup.
Aug 10, 2020 12:34 am
From what Guy can tell, the remaining police outside are braced for another impact. It's easy enough for Guy to zip down the road, tires screeching and tail end swinging a bit before the old girl stabilizes. He should be near the Pantones' temporary hideout in a couple of minutes.
OOC:
Easy enough. Let's say you can reach their hideout next round. It'll take their turn to pile into the car, and then you'll be back to the gym the round after that. All told, they can join the fight on the third round after that. Or Guy can join forces with them to bail out his buddies depending on what has happened by that point. ;)

OOC:
Marv is engaged with Petrovich, but not the Enforcers. They're both on Hank. Marv could swap to attacking them with two maneuvers (disengage Petrovich, engage one of the enforcers), though, getting advantage of flanking thanks to Hank already being on them.

OOC:
Showing up with the Pantones' calvalry sounds like my style and pretty epic lol.

OOC:
Waiting on a PC to go. Seems Hank is doing OK. Someone mentioned skittering back up the rope? Or did I imagine that?
Aug 14, 2020 1:43 pm
OOC:
OK, let's speed up this end-game and finish the adventure. No need to play out the combat blow-by-blow (see the OOC discussion for reasoning).

Basically, you're about to be pelted with tear gas canisters. What's your plan to avoid being gassed? You could try to run for the exits, you could shimmy up the rope to the roof, or you could try to wrestle some gas masks for yourselves.

Or maybe you try a last-ditch effort for Petrovich to reveal the location of the warehouse.

Or you surrender to the cops and hope that you can explain yourselves to someone who isn't corrupt.
Aug 14, 2020 4:57 pm
OOC:
I like the idea of tricking Petrovich into revealing the location of the warehouse. Maybe we give him the idea we figured it out, then plan to follow him there?

Maybe that could be Guy's secret plan in getting in the car to get the Pantones? They can help follow him to wherever he goes while we lose the cops.

OOC:
At the moment, Petrovich expects things to go his way once the pepper balls start being thrown. His buddy was wearing a wire to get verbal confirmation that Lance and Jimmy skipped out on a work detail.

So is the idea to surender to the cops in the hopes that you can show them the evidence of Petrovich's kidnapping ring?
Aug 17, 2020 12:09 pm
OOC:
Canisters can be moved/kicked or covered to limit expelling rate.

I think we also have him in the same tap with admission of negligence, plus implying the masks for his nieces party can be checked out and fingerprints pulled from various things, as for the buddy with the wire having admitted to other people that should be in prison confined at a warehouse which is not an official sanctioned confinement location. I figure that's why the fight broke out cus self admission plus Max stating going by protocol isn't the turnout they want.

If we're going the 80s cop movie route if Petro is still on the ground Duke can take a bit out of his but or drag him by the crouch. Shimmy up the rope and leave the whole show over to the warehouse while calling the mayor and the news and my boss since I might be late back to work... XD

A few more choice kicks take down Petrovich's cronies, but the gas-mask cops are now blocking both exits. You have to take a gamble to get out of here. So with Jimmy distracting the police by the back door, and Duke keeping Petrovich cowed, you force him up the stairs with the cattle prod. Knowing that Guy's sister rents an apartment on the second floor, you are able to go through her window and down the fire escape (which was fortunately not monkeyed with after all!). Then it's a quick trip down the alley and to the street.
OOC:
So, handwaving lots of rolls, obviously! Your wheels are gone as Guy goes to get the Pantones. But you know they're only a few blocks away. Headed that way? Or taking Petrovich somewhere to interrogate him?
Aug 18, 2020 1:26 am
As they weave through the streets, ducking into alleys as needed, Hank wipes the blood from his lip. After a short walk he takes them to hole up in Lance's off-the-books storage unit. As Marv lowers the door behind them, Hank turns on a lamp in the corner.

"Damn phone's dead, but it's a good thing my pal Vic was nice enough to lend me his." Hank holds up the cattle prod threateningly as Petrovich starts to reply. "I see lots of calls to the same couple numbers, and a new one that suddenly became a favorite on the day we know the kidnapping ring moved. Dollars to donuts that's the new warehouse."

Hank hands the phone to Max and says, "I know we left a lot of burnt bridges behind us tonight, kid, but you still got a friendly face at the force to get us a phone trace on that number? If so, I say we throw them a surprise party they won't forget. And we can invite all their friends. The Pantones, the press, maybe even the mayor if she's free."
OOC:
If this is over-reaching, just let me know. Taking a stab that we could have muscled his phone away from him and gotten it unlocked, and assuming phone calls would trace the operation given how close Petrovich is to it.
Aug 18, 2020 12:44 pm
"I'll see what I can do." Max states looking around and finds a place with good reception to call his guy in the know at the armory maybe he can get Max a POC for the Marshals comes to mind.
Aug 19, 2020 1:09 am
Petrovich spits on the floor and then smiles. "You think finding some warehouse is going to stop... whatever you think you're stopping? This operation is bigger than you or me or any one of us."

Max's phone dings, and the man shuts up. The message from his inside source reads "5800 Smelton Ave. Pillsville."
Meanwhile, Guy and the Pantones are sitting in an alley smoking and trying not to breathe in the rancid smells from the dumpster behind the nearby Pho restaurant. One of the lookouts calls Guy and Tasha over. "What's that?" Peeking out, they see the police cars move into the street, blocking off access to the One-Two with siren lights flashing.

"Shit," Tasha swears. "That your boys?" It's tough to see who it is, but a few people seem to be getting led away in cuffs and placed in the backs of squad cars.
Aug 19, 2020 11:53 am
"You talk to much, no leads. I'll look around for a ride so we can look for anything suspicious in the area, Petrovich you're under arrest as stated prior and you seem to want to resist plus you seem to be in a bad mental state so since you look like you might be of harm to yourself we're going to have to knock you out." Max states. What's that's over Max makes the dark comment they should maybe dislocate his dominant arm and lets them know they do have a location but should probably move quick before they're notified.

"Anyone seen or heard from Mr. Gavriel?"
Aug 19, 2020 2:14 pm
Guy takes out his phone and starts typing a message...

"Uh, I am outside the One Two and the boys in blue are carting off several guys. Did anyone get away? What's the status?"
Aug 19, 2020 3:47 pm
"My phone's dead, so I heard nothin'. I hope he made it out okay. Was that your phone that just buzzed, Max?"
