OOC:
Let's call a ram attack Average, upgraded twice (RR), with a setback for handling.
Sep 1, 2020 1:00 am
OOC:
I think we're all in Guy's car. I left ol' Millie back at the One Two when we made a hasty exit. Also, Hank's phone is dead, so he's clueless.
Hank trots back across the street to the car, a big grin on his face. He slides back into the back seat and says, "Alright. Front camera should be down. So's their futbol game, but eggs 'n omelets, ya know? So they may be a little grumpy." He looks back and forth at the others, then the mischievous smile on Guy's face.

***

"So one group barrels in the front door, and the Pantones come charging in the back to bust heads and make sure they don't get away? Kinda like a Trojan Horse if there was another horse that jumped the wall and kicked 'em in the back of the head." He shrugs. "Works for me."
OOC:
Any other ideas? If we want a PC with both groups I could head up the Pantones coming in the back door while Guy and whoever else drives through the bay door.
Sep 1, 2020 1:34 pm
"I'll go in on foot with Duke after the fact, I can't really buckle him in safely..." Max comments.
Sep 1, 2020 2:02 pm
"Sounds like a plan," Tasha says taking a vape from the open sliding door of the Pantones' van. "But... how do we know Fatima or the others aren't right behind those bay doors? We haven't come all this way to just run over our leader..."
OOC:
You'll need to convince the Pantones to go along with this plan. Let's say Hard (PPP) Deception, Leadership, or Coercion; or Average Charm -- all with two setbacks (her fear being obvious here).

Or you can try to peep into the bay door area to make sure it's clear. That's a Hard (PPP) Stealth check with two boosts for disarming the camera and general cover.

"Bay doors are usually kept clear, especially if they're expecting shipments. They'll either be in the center of the warehouse, or locked up in a side office. I'm only going to drive fast enough to break through the door, and the impact will kill a lot of the momentum. If by some unlucky chance they are on the other side of the door, they won't suffer more than a few bumps and scratches. Trust me," he grins reassuringly.
OOC:
Rolling for charm. I also used my XP to grab 1 rank in Driving skill since I might be needing it lol. Do we get another 5 for the new month as well?
OOC:
Adding a boost for Max's help.

"Standard hostage situation never have hostages close to an escape route they can easily get out of also."
Sep 3, 2020 12:29 am
Tasha doesn't look convinced. "Look, I've got some medical training. I'd rather my people stay by the bay doors in case there's an issue. I can't risk Fatima getting hurt. Maybe your people can come in through the office or whatever?"
OOC:
So, same plan, just with roles reversed a bit. Hank and Max want to hit the office door? If so, Nezzeraj, give us that RR+Black Driving check!
Sep 3, 2020 1:36 am
"Works for me. Don't worry, Tasha. We don't anybody hurt either... At least, any of the good guys." Hank pops a couple painkillers, then rolls his shoulders to limber up.
OOC:
Did we have time to recover strain, by the way? If so, how much?
Sep 3, 2020 2:58 am
OOC:
Yeah, everyone should be due a couple of strain recovery rolls: Feel free to roll Cool or Discipline twice.
Sep 3, 2020 2:55 pm
Max tries to control his breathing looking from Duke to the rest with a nod that he's ready. "You need patching up before we go in?"

"Naw, I'm good. Also got a spare dose of painkillers if anybody needs some."

Hank places the bottle on the hood of the car and then clears his mind as he stares at the steam coming from a manhole cover. I am solid liquid and gas. I flow where I desire and strike firm when needed. I cannot fall, but float on the breeze.

"We'll flank the bay door, then." Tasha and several Pantones run toward the large door, waiting for the cavalry to come through.
OOC:
So roll up that Driving check. No need for Stealth checks or anything for those of you going in the office door!

Guy pops in a CD to calm his nerves and get ready for the battle ahead. After his nerves settle, he grins, pops the clutch, and rockets his car toward the bay doors.

OOC:
How we using that Triumph?
Sep 6, 2020 11:12 am
OOC:
Ultimately up to Guy I suppose, but could we use it to separate the kidnappers from their victims? Like the victims were on one side of the door and the criminals are on the other? So then we'd have a direct line to get them out?
Sep 7, 2020 1:01 am
OOC:
Having the kidnappees be clustered together is certainly possible use of that Triumph. Maybe the movement of the door scares all the victims into the corner or something. Nezzeraj, up to you!
Sep 7, 2020 1:20 pm
OOC:
Yeah, let's say the victims were on one side, and the kidnappers dove out of the way on the other side so the car is now between them?

SavageBob sent a note to SavageBob
OOC:
By default, the collision with the doors will cause a crit to the car. For the 4 Threat, I'll add +40 to that roll..

108 = "weapon damaged." Of course, the one component this vehicle doesn't have would pop up. So, Nezzeraj: Would you prefer to treat this as a critical injury on Guy (which I'll roll fresh with nothing added to the roll), or to treat this as 109: brakes damaged? The latter is more fun, but potentially more dangerous, as you'll move farther into the warehouse than you originally intended!

Rolls

Critical Hit to car - (1d100+40)

(68) + 40 = 108

Sep 9, 2020 2:12 pm
OOC:
Let's go for the more fun one then :D
Sep 10, 2020 1:43 am
The bay doors crumple like origami, smashing forward and to the ground. In the headlights, Guy and the others see bodies fleeing to either side of the metal sheet hurtling toward them and the car behind it. Guy lays on the horn for added effect, but then he realizes somethings not right... the car won't stop! Somehow the collision seems to have taken out the brakes. While the door slows things somewhat, he finds himself barreling toward a concrete wall straight ahead...
OOC:
