[IC] Sudden Payback (Session 2)

"Yeah, some nosy goody two shoes came over 'n told us they were gonna witness for us but we don't want no cop trouble if you know what I'm sayin' so we were just hoping we could head off any trouble by lettin' insurance know it's a bunch of nothin' before a cop report rolls in from somewhere."

"The old coot probably meant well, but times have changed in Rumble. It's normally more trouble than it's worth to get the cops involved for minor crap like this. Before you know it, they're hanging around and we're answering questions for the next hour. Easier to just hash it out ourselves, yeah?"

Max takes the time to whip out his phone and do a search on the two last names to see if there's a warrant out for either one since their story seems a bit sketch to him at this point.

The woman blinks her eyes, seemingly processing all this information. She opens the door further, revealing a comfy-looking motor home, albeit one showing its age. The woman is dressed in sweats and a tank top, her hand with the cigarette hanging limply by her side. "Wait—you saw my dad's van? It's registered to Wally Cline, right? I'm his daughter, Daniella. Where'd you see it? My asshole boyfriend 'borrowed' it a few weeks ago and we haven't seen him since!" Her boisterousness seems to have attracted attention; you notice a man in a trucker cap walking by slowly.

"Well it looks like it's likely your boyfriend that we need to find Miss and he hasn't been around. We'll bring it back if it's in one piece then."

"Uh... Good luck with that." She puffs on the cig.

"He doesn't by any chance have any friends in the area, or over in Waverly Willows or Shady Estates does his Miss?"

"Yeah, or if you can give us his name, or know where he might have gone, we could give him your regards. Takes a real crumb bum to steal his girlfriend's family van and then skip out. Sounds like it may help if someone encourages him to bring it home." Hank puts his arm up and rests it casually on the awning of the trailer. Though he normally doesn't use his size to intimidate, he's aware of how it strikes most people.

"Oh, you asked where we saw the van. It was out in Bloodshot Borough."

"Bloodshot Borough, huh? That's about where my daddy got hurt," Daniella explains. "He used the van for his painting business. Till he fell from some scaffolding an' hurt his back." She nods toward the wheelchair ramp you're standing on as she lights another Virginia Slim. "Jimmy worked for him, took over the business for a while. Then he got in with a bunch of rednecks called the 'Havoc Hounds.' Just a bunch of drug dealers, really. Meth, oxy... I've heard rumors he hits some of the bars 'round here, but I haven't seen him." She looks at the man in the street who seems to have taken an interest in the conversation, raises her voice to a shout. "Piece of shit's name is Jimmy Crowder. Right, Bosko? But you guys all call him Grinnin' Jimmy. That right?"

Whoever this Bosko is, he flips Daniella Cline the bird and starts striding toward a rusted pickup truck.

"Hey, Bosko is it? You a friend of Jimmy? Mind if we talk a minute?"

Marv'll start walking toward ol' Bosko's truck, hoping that he'll pause at Guy's shout long enough to beat him to it and lean on the driver's side door all casual like, so if Bosko turns around to get in, he'll have to go through Marv.

Guy gives chase!

Hank sees the guy start to break for it and springs into action to intercept him.
