Kaseeh is happy to compy and follow the droplets, but even happier to set his mind working on what they may be from. His original idea of a wounded animal seems less likely now after the group's last encounter, so his mind is mostly busy boiling up with new ideas. Could it be another creature? One of the priests in similar silver suits? Maybe it's not blood, but some kind of oil or fuel from a machine! Or something even more unusual, like someone's thoughts and memories. Might be a clue to be utilized in more unusual ways than simply following it...

His train of thought making him somewhat oblivious to Nim's peculiar situation nearby, Kaseeh kneels down and cautiously dips a finger on a droplet to bring it close to his face and -assuming it doesn't smell suspiciously- maybe even taste it with the tip of his tongue.

It does taste like blood, even though it's silvery.

As you follow the drops and spatters away from the cliff, you notice the occasional incandescent purple and blue feather floating in the air.

After a while the trail just stops.

Rohim looks around up and low to pick up the next sign.

Upon searching the ground nearby, you uncover a well-camouflaged cadenta nest half buried in the ground. These are the long winged, long billed birds circling the area.
Apr 11, 2020 10:12 pm
"Found a nest here" Rohim will check the nest visually for sign of the silvery blood, birds or other objets. If he sees nothing from afar, he'll check for birds that might attack him if he start physically checking it.
Apr 11, 2020 10:17 pm
Kaseeh will also approach, examining whether the missing piece was used in the nest's construction
Apr 11, 2020 11:18 pm
You can't see any numenera from the surface, you'll need to uncover the nest to see more. The birds above may be growing agitated.

"Oboy, birds do like shinies, don't they," Raezhon says as she watches the birds for signs that they might attack.
Apr 12, 2020 10:43 pm
"Keep an eye on them please" Rohim will go with Kaseeh to uncover and search the nest.
Apr 12, 2020 11:13 pm
As soon as you start to mess with the nest, two birds swoop down, screeching in alarm.

Initiative checks please, difficulty 3.

Raezhon keeps her bow at the ready.

Those of you who beat or meet difficulty 3, go ahead and act before the birds. They're diving into beak-stabbing range, so you can either use ranged attacks or melee assumed to occur when they break social distancing guidelines.

Is searching the nest something that can be done in combat round or do we need to chase them away first?
Apr 13, 2020 2:24 am
You could use your action to search instead of attack or defend yourself. I'd make your defense roll one step harder.
Apr 13, 2020 2:32 am
Rohim will stay focused on searching then with this round action.

Aduan had been watching the birds and was prepared for any action on their part. He has his rapier out and ready.
