Yea, Despairs don't show up with any symbols on the dice... it's always been that way unfortunately. The text results are reliable tho.

And I don't want anyone to ever feel like I've forced them or even suggested or guided them to do something in particular that they didn't intend to do. I had forgotten your mention of stabbing the eyes.

For future reference, everyone, please always do what you want to do. I just try to anticipate actions and give options if they've been discussed prior at things you guys have speculated about, so that we can minimize having to sit here and have back and forths just to establish what options there are and what the associated difficulties will be.

Such speculative options are never your only option(s), just me trying to keep things moving as best as possible.

And Eskaton, all the reasoning on those boosts sounds legit to me. And nicely rolled ta boot. We will at this point of course move forward with the action and took as above.
Cap is no farmer, but what animal isn't motivated by pain? He digs his picks into the flesh of the boar, hoping it can feel something, and perhaps applies them in a spur-like fashion to drive it away from the wall - and towards his allies who have also been trying to coax the beast.

And lo and behold - it frickin' works!

The boat thrashes and spins and bucks, and it ends up next to the cliff north of the spike and the wall. But by the time it has been manipulated into that position, Cap has lost his purchase and is thrown from the back of the great boar!
OOC:
Despair to throw ya, I'll use the Threat to Strain Cap 2.

From the throw/fall to the ground, please roll an Average Resilience check (PP), to resist being damaged by the fall.
The boar, discombobulated for the moment by it's own rage and wild thrashing, shakes it's head and snorts and squeals in it's minor victory, swinging it's head from side to side to get a bead on it's antagonists...
OOC:
Alright, so you guys all have a moment to act here, while the boar is gathering itself.

Watcha gonna do?!

Cap sails through the air, barely able to dislodge his pick as he takes flight. He tucks his arms and tries to fall as best he can as the sky and the ground swap places in his vision with distressing frequency.

He hits the ground and burns the momentum off in a tucked roll that he ends by standing up, carrying his momentum forward and redirecting himself so that he's in a full blown sprint back toward the boar!
OOC:
Is the boar directed so he's about to fall on the trap? I'd like to use the advantage to end standing rather than prone if I can (if that's too big a spend I'll pass a boost to the next PC)

Rolls

Resilience

3 Success, 1 Advantage, 1 Failure

Total: 2 Success, 1 Advantage

Hmm, the way I read it it's positioned next to the wall in front of the trap, but it's not falling into it. We somehow need to get it to run through the wall, but I'm not sure how. The order of our positioning goes trap, wall, boar, us, right?

OOC:
Yeah, that's kinda how I read it too, but I thought the purpose of the survival check was to steer it into the trap. Rereading emsquared's suggestion I see he suggested that I was trying to steer it "in line" with the trap. Oh well, that seems purposeless to me given the whole plan was to lure it by being on top of a now destroyed wall, but I'll chock it up to growing pains with the titan fight. I'll say now that I'm thrown AND the boar's been steered away from the wall my plan's completely shot. Any thoughts from the rest?

Pagoni makes a loop at the end of his rope and attempts to lasso one of the boars tusk.
OOC:
I thought Cap is still on the higher ground, on the same level as the boar, and the rest of us are lower, with the trap. So I'm hoping to snag the boar with the rope, and we can pull him over the cliff edge, and onto the trap. Or anger him enough that he comes down to us?

Rolls

Ranged, roping the boar

2 Success, 1 Advantage, 4 Threat

Total: 2 Success, 3 Threat

Long weekend for the 4th. Here's about where things stand... Apologies if the text description wasn't clear.

That Advantage expenditure sounds good to me, Eskaton.

Let me know if this positioning changes anything about what Pagoni wants to do. Eskaton and Charisteas you guys can take action too...

I think my best course would be to assist Pagoni in pulling the rope. I imagine it takes a lot of strength

OOC:
I'm ok still roping the thing, and hoping we can pull it. or guide it.

What range band am I from the boar after being thrown?
