Ok, so if I'm looking at the map which way is north, west, east and south? I had assumed (most likely incorrectly) that the top of the map was north, the right being east. I did not see a compass or I missed some text explaining the orientation...

Oh, my bad. You're near the spiral staircase in the south west. The splashing noise is to the east and faint smell of burning wood to the north. I'll go ahead and edit my previous post.

Yeah, we'll continue without Dreamblade for now. We'll assume Novyn is in reserves for whatever reason right now...
