Nunri winces but takes her place beside Liroc. "Let's move. Same plan."

Cassi will lead the way back and head north. As we go north she will let who ever wishes to go before her. Coring is at her side the hold time. She will take out a flask of oil and top off the lantern before we head northward. Lets hope we have less troubles going north but I some how think it will be worse.

You make your way further down the sewers. Here, the sewer is darker as there are few grates (considered dark, p.31 and p.56), the passages are also narrower (the walkways are about 25 cm/ 9 and 7/8 in. wide) and the ceiling domes lower (meaning that any use of two-handed weapons, even bows, is done at -25% as you lack the space to effectively wield them). You eventually reach an intersection. Some distance away, you notice some faint lighting from collection pipes further away. You can continue north, turn east, or west (or you can always turn around...). Coring starts growling again, but does not seem to be pointing towards any direction in particular...

Nunri draws her knife, choking up on her hammer with her off hand. "Right?" she whispers.

"Sounds good" Liroc whispers back. He hesitate a moment looking at the narrower passage. "We wont be able to all fight properly here, would someone mind holding the torch behind me so I can fight with sword and shield?"

"You can give it to me. My spear is too long to use effectively in here anyway."

She reaches down to hold Coring to make sure he doesn't take off with her free hand while keeping the lantern as high as she can. I don't like how narrow this is getting.

"I can take point," says Malingad. He is ready with hatchets, and trying to be as quiet as possible. Before he moves to the front, he tells them to be about (2 squares) behind him as he moves forward slowly.

"Thanks" Liroc hand her the torch and draw his sword.

"Mmm, thats true. Maybe some of us should stay here and make sure we don't get cut off from our escape route?"

Am I ahead of everyone?

Liroc will follow Malingrad's lead and follow him with the suggested distance.

OOC:
So, has the party split or does everyone follows?

OOC:
I believe we are together only that we've gone single file, with Malingad at point just a two squares ahead, we want to stay tight but also keep a single file in the narrow passage.
Jun 8, 2020 4:27 am
Sounds right to me too. Just single file now.

OOC:
Malingad is sneaking ahead, then Liroc leads the group and I'm right behind Liroc with the torch. And the others are in single file behind us in whichever order.

You continue to the passage to your right until you reach something which could be interesting... With the light sources so far behind Malingad, he can just make up some stairs which climbs up out of the muck and into dry sections of the sewer to form an intersection. The stairs of the south passage have traces of blood on them...

Malingad holds a finger up to signal 'quiet'. He sneaks over to Liroc and whispers, "There be blood on the stairs," and points to the southern stairwell. "Whatcha want to do next?"

"Lets check it out. We could find some clues as to was happened here."

"But careful. Whatever caused those bloodstains might still be around."
Jun 8, 2020 8:50 pm
As you progress further down the passage, you notice a definite trail of dried blood. Someone or something wounded has been through here in the past few days. Continuing down into the room, you eventually come upon the sourde of this blood. A humanoid body is sprawled on the ground between the two upper columns, near the center of the room. It seems to be wearing the uniform of a sewer worker. His body has been nibbled and partially eaten, coupled with its state of decomposition, making it difficult to determine what was the cause of death at a cursory glance...
