Gerald struggles to keep Ataan in his bear hug. At the same time he isn't quite sure why he is hugging the man. Must be a vampire spell, he thinks. All he knows is that he must keep doing it.

Emma's aim is perfect, she slams the burning bottle into his back. Because it's back is so hard, it shatters. Alcohol explodes across him, engulfing him head to toe.

The creature flails about on fire, hisses demonicly, and then 'poof', vanishes into mist that flees out the door into the night.

Gerald shakes his head, clearing away the strangeness. Why was I hugging Ataan?
He looks at Emma, a big question mark forming on his features, then shakes his head again and follows Ataan outside into the night.

Outside, you see for midnight black horses on traces of a magnificent carriage, also black, with crimson curtains. The driver is looking about nervously, his cloak emblazoned with the same mark decorating the carriage door:

Emma draws out her gun in one hand, dagger in the other, and heads cautiously towards the carriage, near the side door.
