[OOC] Character Creation

Okay all adjustments made heading down the final stretch -- oh kenesperanza can you drop in on the Negative Quality discussion I am having with MrArmitage -- I would like your thoughts on a couple of proposals as well as your general thoughts on any suggestions for Negative Qualities and/or on the suggestions that I have made.

I'll look into it.

I am now remembering that the worst part of the Shadowrun system is character creation. Can I get a little help crunching the numbers?

What parts? Feel free to DM me and I can throw stuff into Herolab.

I understand you already have a character concept.

Yeah ed... we are already doing one step by step process we could launch a new or you could join in on that one

I highly recommend Chummer for character creation. I've literally never played Shadowrun before, but I'm mostly able to put together a functional character using that to organize everything. It lets you toggle sourcebooks, and it gives you a reference page for the specific rules for each thing in it. Super handy.

All that said, what're people looking at doing so far? I know I saw one Rigger, at least.

Heh, that spread makes me think I should make a Decker, but I might just have to hope it won't ruin things if we don't have one, so I can make a Shaman. I've got that Ork Shaman idea that would work well for Max's group.

I don't mind role redundancies. You can be a team of three street samurais if you want, it would be interesting to see a team slash their way through all their mission. Massacre squad hehe.

Either Deckers or Shamans would surely help the Maximilian team.

Carter is all ready for team slash through missions..:)...Of course needs his ugly cohort with him.

I still need to spend down my cash. but otherwise I think the character is rather finished.. is bank account consider free cash as I'm sure a credstick is. I thought I had to spend down to some value.

You store nuyen on Credstick but your starting money should still be 5000+(I forgot the die roll haha).
So you can't start with say 100000 Nuyen on your bank account.

How much money can you still spend? What do you want to buy? I can recommend stuff you can buy like maybe a better apartment, vehicles, club membership, gym membership, spa membership, a blender, or whatever.

At a glance I can easily spend down to below 100,000 without even thinking about it.. now below 50k or so that when we start thinking about it...

Was looking for a 1 person mini helicopter but couldn't fine one. The ultra way to travel. I do have a Harley bike. Wasn't too keen going for a car and such. hovercrafts are neat.

Spend down some..

Have 20k Bank account and 5k credstick. and wearing 10ky clothing.

but still have 33.89ky to spend.. so I need idea's to spend more money.. and if the bank account and cred stick isn't good then I have more money to spend.. I did only put 1 month into lifestyle. so I could easily burn 30ky for three more months...:)
