Kon settles the horse into the hold with hay. There is no cargo as yet so plenty of space. He hears the twang of crossbows above and the yells of pirates gathering arms. He alerts the other heroes.

The bells ring constantly to rouse the ship that hasn’t even had a chance to settle in. You hear the sound of horses and spears whistling in the storm landing with a thud on deck.

"What ho, fellow travelers. Sorry I managed to snag my way onto the ship just before she departed. Do the experienced sailors have any ideas what lies ahead?"

Trying to manage the crew keeps Kitsune busy. As Poca tames the winds, she asks him to extend a bed especially for Stormslayer. Very curious about the package that Dukalu had, she debated cracking into it to see, but decided it was best not to. Everything was flowing fairly smoothly until she heard the yell. Kit rushes to Kon to see what's happening.

Kit wonders quickly if she's ever encountered these sea warriors before.

Jacob recognizes it. The king of the Fishmen are waging war on the coast and ride the storm to attack. He lost his ferry last time. This time there are seahorses too with warriors

Reluctantly, I return to the deck, unfolding from the cramped doorway. I quickly survey the scene, attempting to locate the threats.

Locate Threats (Perception) - (1d20+4)

Two sea horses ride the waves that crash against the hull. Four disgusting Fishmen are crawling over the port side gunwales. 2 over the starboard. There are more below in the water. And a black coral ship seen under the waves when the lightning strikes.

OOC:
did that count as an action? Or can I attack in this round still?
OOC:
a voice speaks in your head. Yes!

I will assume that Kon and Antethoe are joining us as soon as Antethoe can do her last minute shopping. A large package arrives for Dukalu and is block and tackled onto the deck and lifted into the cabin. All hatched are battened.
"Of course I'm in...I go where my God sends me.... as long as my horse can come along."

Your insight tells you that a god is involved. Azul leads the black coral ship.

One advantage of being elven kind who was raised in the trees is dexterity. I flee up into the rigging, were I'll be able to fry fishmen from above.

I see the 4 fisherman climbing aboard and cast a dancing ball of flame 3 feet above the deck directly in the path of the fishermen. Any creature who passes through the sphere or ends a turn inside it will take fire damage.

I use my Mage Hand cantrip to summon a bodyless hand, already gripping the reigns of one of the seahorses, and direct it to steer the seahorse into a collision with the other seahorse.

I grab my crossbow and head up top with my ax on my back. I see the fishmen boarding and I take position and fire the crossbow at the nearest one on the port side.
"WE HAVE BOARDERS, PORT AND STARBOARD SIDES!!!"

Kit sees what Stormslayer's doing and proceeds to grab her crystal and create the illusion of a wall in front of the other seahorse to try and cause it to stop so that they collide easier.

Your 10 pound strength fails on a strength check against the sea warrior.

Feeling a bit like Jonah, I yell to Poca, "Remember that seashell I showed you the other day? The one that had a glyph of Azul? You don't think that might be useful against the coral ship by chance?"
