Aw man I would've made a Dwarven cleric.

There are rules for weapon specialization and two weapon fighting too in the Advanced OSE book, might those be on the table as well?
I wanted to keep things simple to start with, so as not to overwhelm any players new to the game. Hopefully, Alice is with us a while, but if you really want to play a demi-human with a human class we can incorporate those rules into your next character should something unfortunate happen to her.

And I'm not saying weapon proficiency rules are off the table. It's just a matter of how far we want to steer away from B/X RAW. Allowing the Advanced Classes was one step. Allowing the Race/Class separation rules is another. Allowing Weapon Proficiency/Specialization rules is another step again... It's entirely up to you guys (gals?) as players.

And I posted the loot found on the corpses just now, btw.

Oh I love Alice, at this point I wouldn't change a thing.

Oh excellent! Disregard my question then in your Character Creation post. I love this idea. It's going to get you in the game faster this way. If you want you can roll his starting gold, buy whatever gear he started with, and whatever gold wasn't spent we can say the bandits kept (which is what the PCs found stashed in their bedrolls) and tossed your starting gear off to the side because looted equipment typically doesn't have any resale value worth the effort of hauling around. Or you can start with nothing if you like.

Also, can you get me a picture of Loken, so that I can get a token made for you on the Roll20 map?

New hitter at the plate!

Sounds like the majority of the party is in favor of shipping Kelric downriver before the Halfling has an opportunity to object...

Anyone want any of this stuff before Kelric leaves with coulson's body?

"... before the Halfling has an opportunity to object..."

This will be the great meme of this campaign, I’m guessing. :D

Lol, a quote fit for Tolkien! I'm good on Kelric's equipment, maybe Elmo could use some plate instead of chain?

You know, speaking of Elmo, Eltrezar and Alice need to sneak in a quiet conversation about the lad. I haven't forgotten the mention...

If offered, Elmo would decline, stating that he doesn't like the weight and lack of range in motion that comes with heavy plate, and how it would be a shame to let his new set of chain go to waste.

He also point put how silly he would look trying to fit into a set of armor tailored for a dwarf's small stature.

Lol! Like Caramon trying to squeeze back into his armor at the beginning of the Legends trilogy!

I forgot that characters wielding 2-handed weapons always go last in the turn order if they plan on attacking. This should have applied to Elmo with his Battle Axe. I don't think it made too much of a difference, but I'm going to have to be careful about that from now on.
From now on, during combat, I'm going to roll any 2-handed characters Initiative as per usual, and post their roll result as usual. However it will be assumed that you plan on attacking with your 2-handed weapon and thus will be at the bottom of the initiative order. If you decide you're not attacking with your 2-handed weapon that round, notify the DM, and you can make your Move/Action on your turn in the order in which your Initiative was rolled.

Make sense?

I think that even if you're wielding a 2-handed weapon, Initiative roll results should count to see which 2-handed character goes before/after others. So if Elmo rolls a 5 and Loken rolls a 6, they both go last, but Loken should get to go last before Elmo...
Thoughts?

Makes perfect sense to me!

Alright, we'll just assume that those are the rules for determining Initiative order for characters wielding 2-handed weapons then before the Halfling has an opportunity to object...

On an unrelated, non-B/X note, that DCC game that was posted to an IC to is up and running, so for those players here that expressed interest, don't forget to get your application in soon so we can all spend twice as much time together than we already do, lol!
