As the wildsailors approach, the throwmonkeys screech in rage at their trespassing. The white-furred creatures start throwing anything they can find at what they perceive to be a huge animal, trying to make it turn away.
Most of what lands on deck is useless, small broken bits of branches, clumps of moss, a tiny piece of broken tree bark... But not all of it is trash.

One of the white monkeys throws a football-sized beetle on deck. It dies on impact but its shell or insides might be useful for something.

Another tosses a metal tooth, the size of an ardent hand on deck. It must have once been part of a ship's bite that got dislodged and stuck in a tree.

Watching the angry monkeys unknowingly reward the intruding ship with their attacks, the wildsailors are inspired and a living thought forms in their mind.

After leaving the throwmonkeys behind, the Fading Dawn continues along to the point indicated on the chart they copied down from the dead ektus' back.
It's not much more than another two hours of travel until they arrive near the marked spot. From some distance already, they can see the shape of a small town, most likely no more than fifty people, in the distance. It is glowing with the faint purple light of bioluminescent mushrooms but it is hard to discern much else about it.

You can make Sense rolls to learn more about the colony if you want. If you approach any further, they will spot you as well. I don't know if you mind being seen by them or not.
