Character Creation Thread

Are we just using the core book? I have that, but I can buy another if we are looking to use them (I’ve never played pathfinder yet so I’m open to guidance)

Anything goes, but there's a LOT of possibilities and 3rd party content. There's a website with most of it here. You're more than welcome to just use core, or poke around on that website to see what it offers.

Edit: Found the assignment list. I could go with Cerulea if it would work better to not have two Magus in the same group.

FYI: Eldritch Scions are fighter/sorcerers as opposed to the standard Magus (fighter/wizard)

Yeah was about to point out the overlap. Up to you, but as there's only 3 of us in the group two magi might be crowded. Whereas in the 10 overall two would likely be fine. However Eldritch scions do play quite differently as I recall.

Hero is interested in Hydrulus, so he's going to get it since he was here first. But that also makes the Magus party overlap problem not a problem at all. Hope that's okay

For those who haven't already decided a starting position, Therris is the last one available. Remember that doesn't mean it needs to be your homeland. Your character can even have only just arrived there at the start of the adventure. If anyone needs details on Therris let me know.

Even though she's not on the list yet, Alon will start in Cerulea.

If possible, I'd like to get more info on both Cerulea and Hydrulus. My character is something of a wanderer.

Also, when time presents, can you add the calendar to the setting page? Thanks.

Yup, Alon was the last slot in Cerulea. The second was reserved a bit ago.

I'll try to write up more detailed descriptions of the cultures for those nations. They tend to vary by location, and currently the descriptions only cover them as broadly as possible. Today I have work and another Pathfinder game afterwards, so I may not have time, but I'll try to get a draft going.

The calendar is a good idea. Currently the only reference for the date is in the subforums. They all start on the same day, but may split off later depending on players. When the time comes for them to cross paths, I have time killing adventures planned and I'll be making sure they don't get too far apart in regards to time, so eventually I'll have a unique calendar date for each party.

When I saw the time stamps on the top of each adventure thread, I remembered seeing the calendar somewhere. It then dawned on me that it was in the linked doc. in the recruitment thread.

Do we have any indication yet as to what class of character our third will be in Cerulea?

Last I heard, they were debating bard or skald in the discord chat. I'll have to copy that calendar reference into the setting thread officially at some point today.

@RageRed I’m that Cerulea slot, and I’m going bard. I’m just grappling with GP’s pathfinder sheet right now, lol.

Speaking of finalising my character... max hp for first level, roll for the others, is it? And roll starting wealth on top of the levelled gold?

Yes. I knew you were slotted for the other place in Cerulea, but not on Discord, I had not heard your considerations for what class your PC would be. Bard sounds great!

Sorry that took so long. I just submitted Gyldraine the Fortunate, human cleric of the Lady of Fortune.

So our GM has called for a possible tank for the last trio. Let us see if the dice will fall and make that happen.

Edit: Not exactly my idea of a tank by the numbers. More like a jeep. Dropping the 7 of course.
