Your character has only been in captivity for the d10, so your character has been in captivity for 3 days.

The d20 is to let you know what your character has scavenged during their time in captivity. When your start the game (regardless of what may or may not have happened to the rest of your starting equipment), your character will start with the scavenged possession: a rusted iron bar that can be used as a club.

Baktrax, how would a noble drow warlock work in the campaign? I've been getting quite excited by the character but would understand if it doesn't fit. I was thinking her family was assassinated due to political machinations. She survived and vowed revenge, and made a pact with a fiend to enable her to enact it.

I think that could work out fine. You could have been captured, perhaps, because there was a price on your head as the survivor of the attack, which would work into the other drow holding you captive. The biggest thing, I think, would just be figuring out if your character is trying to make it out of the Underdark or now since they are a drow. The basic assumption of the campaign is that players are trying to make it to the surface, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. You guys can really go wherever you want. I think it would just be a matter of figuring out what your motivation would to be stay with the group after you escape from the drow (assuming, of course, that you do =D) if the rest of the characters are trying to make it back to the surface.

Edit: Also, your character has found a single gold coin.

Okay, so I'm torn between having him a human or half-elf. I know I want the background to be charlatan. I want the alignment to be chaotic neutral. Hrm. I don't want him to be too scummy though and not a snack oil type guy. He will shave coins and forge documents. I want him to be a part of a bigger scheme. Like, not a slave trade, but something similar. He would live at an inn, renting a room. Always have his front up, a disguise or something. His second identity would either be his main identity or just one he'd use to restat when there are too many watching eyes.

For the class I'm torn as well. Bard would be good for his life styld. Living in the tavern with a charismatic front. Distracting with his entertainment. Then delving into shady things to make gold and maybe just to entertain himself. Like stimulating to be part of an organization or scheme where he has to think and use his skills to hide and decieve. The cleric idea I'm not sure how it would work beside snake oil route, so idk. Then like Rouge makes sense mechanically wise the most, so that's an option too.

Haha, all just short rough ideas... thoughts? I'm all scattered >.

In medieval times selling relics of saints was big business, and the church was the biggest source of them. Priests were often corrupt; the sheer amount of money and power flowing to the Vatican ensured that. So a corrupt cleric could work fine. It could be that he started out devout but was corrupted after becoming a priest and being exposed to the 'business' side of things. Now, years later, he is surprised to discover that his God is actually answering his prayers. It's a shot at redemption, but he has to overcome years of habitually giving in to temptation. You could also think of him like a more modern televangelist, selling redemption to the masses. An inn/brothel would be a good place to do that.

For a bard character; maybe his cover is as a musician working the inns while really he is an agent of a large organised crime gang. He watches the traffic through the area and is occassionally tasked with subtle jobs like planting false information/documents, obtaining proof of indiscretions, etc. He pays attention to politicians, adventurers and the like and probes for weaknesses and potential leverage.

Damn, that puts ideas into words. I'm not sure what would be more fun to role-play and work well with our group so far.

Okay Baktrax, I'm going to change from my monk to a drow warlock. I have almost finished the sheet, just need to put in the rolled stats from before.

As part of his clan's trading, all members must have military training

Braegar was, joined the clan's scouts at the age of 16. He was one of the best scouts in his team but lacked focus and often got distracted, which cost him promotion more than once.

Shortly after turning 22 he was tasked with scouting a nearby mountain range where the elders had received reports of suspicious activity (TBC)

Okay then I suppose I'll stick to my idea for a monk. Gonna be a wood elf shadow monk (once we get lvl 3). Part of a family of trained assassins.

Okay character has been submitted.

@Valcos Your character's scavenged possession is a 5-foot-long strand of silk rope.

We're just waiting on CosmicKeyring's character at the moment. I sent them a PM just to check where they're at, but we should start up soon.
