Chapter 1 - Goblin Arrows

Gerbo whispers "There's a goblin on the bridge. I'll watch him while you go in." as he waves a hand behind him to hurry them into the room. Gerbo is going to ready an action to shoot the goblin if he think the goblin sees us. If not, he will proceed into the room with the rest of the party.

The goblin on the bridge continues to look towards the entrance of the cave but appears to be more bored than attentive. Suddenly the flickering of Orel's torch seems to refocus his attention. His eyes widen and he lets out a loud yip before cupping his hands to his mouth and turning towards the back of the cave.
OOC:
Gerbo can take readied action. Afterwards it's initiative order.

Drawing back before quickly releasing the bowstring, Gerbo starts to ready another shot before the first one lands.

Swearing under his breath, "Vecna's ears." he releases a second shot.

Just as the goblin starts to yell out Gerbo's arrow strike it between the shoulder blades. The creature stumbles forward but regains its balance taking in a deep, labored breath as it does.

Belanor looks up to where Gerbo was firing. He starts gesturing with his hand. A small skeletal hand forms next to the goblin on the bridge. It points then slaps it across the face following through it latches to the goblins shoulder.
After which Belanor shakes his hand clear like trying to get water off of it, and slinks back against the wall.

i didn't specifiy who its attacking I don't care which it hits because i didn't call out :/

Seeing the skeletal hand appear the goblin quickly rolls to the right, but its startled acrobatics do it little good as the hand slaps the life force from its body. The goblin collapses unceremoniously onto the bridge.
OOC:
Anyone this far in the cave will either need a light source or Darkvision.

Belanor sighs a bit of relief when he hears the thud on the ground. Still a bit shaken and shaking he hold the sword closer to his body with both hands.

Gerbo warily watches the goblin as it falls. That was too close. "I forgot we have to carry a bright, shining beacon with us. Please try to keep it from giving us away again." he sneered. "I'll check it out. You can follow a little behind me, but please stay behind me until I have time to check for traps. If there are more gobbo's, feel free to engage, but I don't want something to get tripped and give us an issue."

Creeping up into the room on the left wall, Gerbo looks carefully at the entryway, and then peers into the room to see what he can see.

Assuming nothing prevents me from doing so, I will relay what I see to my comrades (so I don't need to make a post to tell them what I see).

Orel nods at Gerbo's comments and heads towards the back of the group, hopefully allowing Gerbo and others near the front to spot enemies before they notice the torch.

The passage to the left is choked with rubble and has two steep escarpments separated by a ledge. The going is tough but Gerbo is able to make his way up the second escapement where the passageway tees into another slightly wider passageway. The smell is horrible; a mix of unwashed Goblins, rotten food, and something awful being cooked assaults the Rogue's senses.

To the right the new passageway heads off roughly twenty feet before bending further rightward.

To the left the passage quickly opens into a chamber where five Goblins are sitting around a small fire, cooking up some sort of Goblin delicacy. The smoke from the fire creates a stingy orange-colored haze throughout the room through which Gerbo can just make out a steep natural staircase at the southern end of the cavern.

Kerisha follows a short distance behind Gerbo, allowing the gnome to do his thing, but close enough to be able to defend him should the worst happen.

Gerbo looks bad at Kerisha behind him and nods, "Ready? I'll fire and you go in?" he whispers.

He draws his bow and squints at the goblins, looking for who seems to be the most dangerous.

Are the goblins armed? Any clear leader (or does one look "most threatening")?

Walking on the ledge between the two escarpments Kerisha can feel that the ground isn't quite as solid as it appeared. It starts to give way and quickly crumbles. It's remnants, and Kerisha, slide hard down the first escarpment, barely missing the others on the way down.
Through the smoke it's hard for Gerbo to differentiate between the Golbins huddled about the fire. He is caught a bit by surprise by the sound of debris falling behind him though.

I have the Marching Order as: Gerbo, Kerisha, Grim, Belanor, Orel and will use this as default until I'm told otherwise or circumstance change.
