Garn shrugs, "Food, water, and my weapon is all I'll need."

Maia will pick up her quarterstaff and crossbow, Istariel at her side.
OOC:
Peruse the goods! What's around?
Apr 19, 2016 9:17 pm
OOC:
12 potions of cure light wounds, various ammunition, rations
Apr 19, 2016 9:21 pm
OOC:
is my horse and his barding ok?
Apr 19, 2016 9:23 pm
OOC:
Minor wounds, most of the blood isn't his. Barding needs cleaned. Horse is mostly exhausted.
Apr 19, 2016 9:26 pm
"I'll take a healing potion and some of those rations."
Apr 19, 2016 9:44 pm
Looking at Denevér perched on her shoulder Hegy responds "It looks like I have all I need right here!" and gives a quick sigh of relief. Overjoyed that her dear familiar has returned she nearly forgets why the party was escorted to the quartermaster in the first place.

"Well Dennie and my weapons of course." she blurts as she goes about collecting her things.
Apr 19, 2016 9:46 pm
OOC:
Do we get all our original gear back? If yes, I'll take a couple of potions, 2 days rations, top up my crossbow bolts, and an extra case of bolts.
Apr 19, 2016 10:33 pm
OOC:
Yes. He basically did maintenance on your gear, removing any broken conditions.

I use my final use of lay on hands for Arten. There is no reason for him to suffer with damage and fatigue when I can help him. Then I will retrieve my gear, and some rags to clean the horses armor. Assuming I get my gear back then there is nothing else I require, leavetc the healing potions for the squishing members. Will make my job easier anyway. Then I go about cleaning Arten and his armor.

Maia grabs two health potions. "Thank you for this."

I casually walk next to Maia, and when we're a ways away from the rest of the group strike up a conversation. "That thing you said before about Tiamat being something you recognized in your studies about hell. I'm curious... what did you mean by that?"

Maia adopts a scholarly mien. "Specifically that, actually. A great deal of my studies involves the Planes and the creatures therein." She glances briefly at Istariel before returning to Xulara. "I remembered Tiamat's name from a passage describing Avernus, one of the upper circles of Hell. Unfortunately, I can't recall anything but the name. The Lower Planes are not my speciality."

"Hmm. All I know are rumors. Apparently, he's one of the 'old gods'. Does that mean anything to you?"

Taking note of Arten, the quartermaster leaves his tent and approaches Dahlia.

Lady Paladin, I really hope you aren't planning on taking that poor beast out in his condition. Poor thing's exhausted. I'll be more than happy to stable him here and keep him with our horses until your return...and if you need one to take with you, I will happily lend you one.

But this one is in no condition to ride right now.
OOC:
Though you've healed his wounds, Arten is still exhausted, which isn't something you can handle with your Mercy just yet. Wearing Barding for nearly 36 hours makes rest difficult...especially when you're trying desperately not to be captured or killed by giant lizards.
Apr 20, 2016 2:43 pm
"He can rest here then. I will take a different horse to use."
OOC:
Should have waited an hour to use that lay on hands, then he would be right as rain. Oh well.

"'Old Gods' you say? I can't say I've heard of them."
Apr 20, 2016 4:08 pm
"Alright then. Ye have everything you need, then? Best head off and get started, then. The commander wants ye to get back as soon as possible, so we can head back to the capital with ye. Best o' luck, and be careful!"

The journey to the tomb is actually fairly boring. You stay on the road for the most part, but veer off through the forest to the East after about two hour's journey. When you reach the mountains, it takes some time to find the entrance, but thanks to the maps and journal, you find it hidden behind some vines and overgrowth.

Dahlia dismounts this borrowed steed and examines the cave entrance. Whatever these things wanted came from here so they might know about it. From this point onward it's time to be on guard.

"We must have a plan. Running around all half cocked is how we got so completely defeated last time. I suggest we allow our stealthier allies take the lead to scout and look for traps. Disable or clearly mark all traps you find, and if enemies are encountered come and get the rest of the party to deal with it. While I am sure that Xulura or Toshi either way are more than capable of dealing with the threat, the rest of us likely aren't worth a tinkers chamber pot contents at disabling or finding traps. So don't take any unnecessary risks."

Garn nods in agreement, "Sounds like a fine plan to me."
