Yeah, I just got crossed up because the book said GM usually sets difficulty. Forgot he said to make our best guess and he'd adjust as necessary.

I can confirm that triumph are not included automatically in the success and advantage count.

Should we be thinking of Initiative checks right now?

I figure we might be going into some structured encounter and wasn't sure how to proceed here :)

@crazybirdman - I think we're going to be good here. Seems like a pretty chill group and I'm just here to have fun and hopefully tell a good story.

I believe Ken gets an upgrade to his abilities when firing due to my "stay on target" maneuver?

Also does continuing to "gain the advantage" actions just make it harder and harder for them to cancel out my advantages?

Ad-hoc won't do anything this round, unless a fire breaks out or something.

For 'gain the advantage', You have it for the round it succeeds and the next one, unless the other ship performs 'gain the advantage' at one difficulty higher. If they get advantage, it cancels yours for that round and they have advantage until the end of the next round, unless you take it back, at another difficulty higher. In practice, after a couple back and forth, both ships end up doing an 'Evasive maneuvers' to break off the sequence and then re-engage.

If there's one thing I learned from watching Rebels, it's all ships seem to have a way to dock in space.

Yeah, Docking in space is one of the 'hand waves' that Star Wars does, since the science and the fact really just slow down the story :)

Yep, grabbed it off the shelf, figured it was a good place to start and let the players get a handle on the story and their longer term plans for the characters. I may shuffle a few things and there's some built in options for switching it up. Besides, if you 'cheat', most likely it'll bother you more than me. Thank you for the heads up and let's have some fun Star Wars :)

My campaign has gone very by the book (my first GM attempt, players first time playing at all) so I am sure with the creative minds here it will be very different

Different thread, If you guys say "we want a shopping trip" - then we can post everyone's wish list over here and resolve the details. Then we'll "Now that everyone has finished shopping..." in the story thread.
