Garn continues attacking the great beast with his sword, diving frantically out of the way of the beast's dangerous teeth and claws.
OOC:
Edit: And so it continues...

Maia quickly reloads her crossbow, hoists it onto her shoulder, and fires once more.
OOC:
Ah, I was actually having Istariel stay close to Maia so I'd get the +4 AC for him being close, but I'll take 16 damage. :)

Rolls

1d20+5 : (2) + 5 = 7

May 13, 2016 1:44 pm
Istariel's fists shine with power and fury as he reaches out for the beast once more.
OOC:

May 13, 2016 3:33 pm
As my companions keep the dragon busy, I strike from the shadows, slamming my first dagger at its side and moving back around the beast to slam the second against its back, attempting to disorient it.
OOC:
Here's hoping I'm doing this right! If the sneak attack damage is taken, using Debilitating Injury-
Disoriented: The target takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls. In addition, the target takes an additional –2 penalty on all attack rolls it makes against the rogue.
OOC:
P.S. I still don't remember how critical damage is done so I rolled it again. Feel free to disregard if it's supposed to be doubled from the first roll.

I actually hit it! Hegy thinks as a weird combination of surprise and pride overcome her. Quickly shaking her head and bringing herself back to the matter at hand she quickly draws another bolt and with a quick incantation loads it and takes aim. "Let's make it two for two!"
OOC:
Hahahaha. Hegy's overconfidence strikes again...

Rolls

Crossbow Attack / Damage - (1d20+5, 1d8+1)

1d20+5 : (1) + 5 = 6

Garn throws a mighty swing at the beast, intent on separating its head from its body, when a crossbow bolt slams into his shoulder from behind and catches him completely off guard, throwing off his aim (take 5 from Hegy's botch, Garn). Maia's shot goes wide, and Istariel throws a mighty punch, smacking Dahlia in her head as the beast's thrashing causes him to miss. (Dahlia takes 6 from Istariel). Xulara, seeing a perfect opportunity to strike, leaps into the fray, driving one dagger deep into the beast's side as the other skitters off of its scales.

Roaring in agony, the beast sprays a noxious smelling spittle from its mouth, steam curling up from wherever it lands (I need reflex saves from Garn, Dahlia, and Istariel vs. DC 13...fail and take 6 damage, succeed take 3). Toshi strikes at the other flank, only to have his claws narrowly scratch the scales on that side...and Dahlia, crying out to her god, swings for the neck, her axe biting deep. With a final roar, the beast falls to the ground, dead.

Garn dives out of the way of the foul gas, coughing and sputtering as he does so. Seeing that the beast is dead he will release his rage.

I clean the blood off of my blades and check to make sure the creature stays down. If it does, I look for any other threats or traps before heading towards our prize.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+11)

(11) + 11 = 22

OOC:
Sorry about that Dahlia!

Woo-hoo! Just made it. 3 damage it is.

Actually, is this Acid damage? If so Istariel actually has resistance (5)

Reflex Save vs. Draconic Awfulness - (1d20+2)

OOC:
That's why I wear big armor. My team mates are more dangerous than the monsters.
May 16, 2016 8:01 pm
Xulara, you find no traps...however, you do happen to find a backpack haphazardly tied to the dragon as a sort of saddlebag that jingles with coin whenever you move it.
May 16, 2016 8:06 pm
Strange. I open the bag and quickly guesstimate how much is in it.

Dahlia, finally catching her breath and realizing that the group just vanquished a dragon, decides to give praise to Sarenrae. She retrieves the religious cup she received in the room before and fills it with the blood of the fallen evil dragon. She will walk over to the side of the beast and kneel next to him.

"Great and mighty Sarenrae, we give thanks to you today for your bountiful blessings. Thank you for allowing us to defeat this servant of evil relatively unscathed."

She dips he finger into the cup full of blood and draws the symbol of Sarenrae upon her forehead.

"We give thanks to you, mighty Sarenrae for protecting our bodies in this well fought battle."

She dips her finger into the cup again and traces the sigil of Sarenrae emblazoned upon her armor.

"We give thanks to the ever vigilant Sarenrae for guiding our blades against the enemies of the light"

She dips her finger in again and traces the sigil of Sarenrae on each side of the head of her ax. She then stands and pours the cup of blood on the dragons hide. She traces the sigil of Sarenrae into the blood.

"Bless our enemy, for though he was an evil being, he is still a creature of the gods"

Feeling pretty good about herself, she looks around the room to see if there is anything of note, or any indication as to which direction might be the better way to go.

"Everyone ready to continue?" Once everyone has had a moment to catch their breaths, I hand a scroll and a potion over to Hegy. "You could use this more than I can. What do you think?" To the others I say, "I've found a bunch of coins here. If it's alright with you all we could split them up later, once we get out of here." If no one objects, I secure everything into one of my empty sacks. I also hold onto the saddle bag where the items were found, just in case we need it later.
May 16, 2016 8:37 pm
Garn pulls the crossbow bolt out of his shoulder and hands hit back to Hegy, "May want to work on your aim," he says with a slightly pained chuckle
May 16, 2016 8:38 pm
"Isn't dragon hide worth a fair amount of gold to armorers and the like? Wouldn't take long to skin this thing out and take the hide with us. Seems awful to waste it."
