Chapter 1.1: It's Dangerous to go Alone...

Maia runs over toward Dahlia after grabbing Istariel's hand. "I'm so so sorry. He can be a little overzealous at times, so he certainly didn't mean to strike you." She gives a chastising look to the large, glowing figure. "Now you make sure you apologize!"

"The fog of war beseeches us all. Think not of it friend."

"You do kind of look like a dragon though..." Hegy says sheepishly as she takes her misfired bolt. She starts to rummage through her packs, offering Garn apologies as she does. After a few seconds she pulls out a wand and begins twirling it in her hand.

"Could always hit you with this instead" she offers Garn, pointing to his shoulder. "Plenty to go around as well!" she says to the others asking if anyone has been injured.

"I am out of self healing until dawn, I could go for a cure spell. "

"Your healing would be much appreciated, thank you," Garn says. His gentle manner seems so out of place with his large size and ferocious battle style.

Toshi is both disappointed and relieved the battle is over so quickly. He pays his wound no mind. He studies the room they're in, looking for exits, nooks and crannies. Curious, he studies the hexagonal floor tiles and picks up and examines the corroded mace in the middle of the room.

Hegy obliges those who ask as she moves from each and touches the wand to them.

Toshi tosses the mace aside. He watches intently as Hegy heals the others' wounds but he is too shy to ask for help. He licks his wounds instead before prowling the perimeter of the room.

"Do you want me to skin the thing now, or should we wait till we're heading out?"

"Do it now. No sense in leaving it to get ruined should something come along."

Garn bends down, pulls out a large knife and sets to work skinning the beast.

I continue to hold the scroll out to Hegy. "Think you could use this, Hegy? Or I could try my hand at using it. I've had luck understanding the arcane, believe it or not. Seems I have a knack for it."

"Apologies, Xulara. I wanted to tend to any of the injured and didn't realize you were talking to me." Hegy will take the scroll in her hands and try to determine what exactly it is.

"Oh, a very useful scroll indeed. Glitterdust. Very useful against those that can't be seen... although it can get a bit... messy." She offers the scroll back to Xulara. "You should keep this. Glitterdust is one I can cast without aid of scroll."

"Wasn't a wand retrieved earlier? Maybe I can help to identify its purpose as well."

"Wasn't me. Did anyone find or have a wand? What would glitterdust be useful? I hope it's purpose is not decorative..." I put the scroll away in an easy-to-reach pocket.

"It's very bright and disorienting, blinding those that are unaware it is about to be cast. Sticks to everything as well, perfect for outlining those that would otherwise not be visible. Just let the rest of us know when you plan to cast it so that we may prepare to hide our eyes...."

"Where to next?" Garn asks Toshi and Xulara.
