Looking over his shoulder at the demon -shaped flamethrower glaring at him through the door he jammed open, and wary of another trap, Tēcuani brings his shield up and crouches low before slowly opening the door. He listens for the click of a trap mechanism, ready to leap sideways the instant he hears it.

I'm confused. My description is that you can reach it. The distance to the ladder is only about 6 feet. Even in difficult terrain, that is half your movement distance. My question is are you moving up it?

I reveal one of my nifty new skills, borne of an increased commune with the natural spirits and the fey sugar gliders that hide about my body...With a bit of concentration, I stir the swarm of sugar gliders, who begin to emerge from their nooks and crannies throughout my clothing and armor. As they come forth they begin to split and divide, travelling down my legs to the floor. "Hold on to me," I say as I gather Lightfingers (Caine) and Bluebard (Jacob) on either side of me, lifting up and holding each around the waist. Although Kitty tried to get around Sparky's hesitate movements through the vipers and up the ladder, Sparky is able to get to the ladder first and starts to climb. Lucky him. As he grasps with both hands onto the rail of the ladder, he notices quickly that it feels weird. His fingers sink into the surface unnaturally, and then they don't leave it. He realizes he is grappled by the ladder, even as a readied pseudopod of amorphous shaped wood reaches out from the side of the ladder and strikes at him. Now he is attached to the ladder by both hands and his head.

Assuming my 11 puts my attack after Storm and before Caine (not sure what T-Cat rolled, but as far as I can see, he's not here). I had thought to throw one end of a rope down to Kit and secure the other end around Storm, who is stronger than me, but would that be my movement? And if so, I can't do that because I've already moved, correct?

Assuming my post about movement is true and I only get an attack/spell action: Being raised in the jungles, I'm a more startled by being grabbed up by the goliath than fearful of the snakes, but once I feel my feet lift from the floor, I'm thankful for my resourceful nature loving friend. As I ascend, I start to sing a glorious hymn, giving a 1d8 Bardic Inspiration Roll to Kon.
My first thought is to burn or blast all the snakes away, but since Kon and Kit are still in the pit, before I can help them out, I toss more directional mote of fire at the snakes.

When you take damage, you can use your reaction to turn invisible and teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You remain invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack or cast a spell. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
