Seeing a chance to disarm his enemy, Gerbo nicks the staff just as the man realizes something's wrong. He jumps from his chair and starts an incantation only to be rudely interrupted by Kerisha.

"Unhand me!" he cries in a whiny voice.

Gerbo calls out to his allies in the doorway "Come on in and gag and bind him, please.". Turning back to the wizard, he growls in the most authoritative voice his Gnomish vocal chords can muster "Don't try anything, bud."

Gerbo will look over the door on the other side of the room and attempt to lock it or jam it shut with his crowbar.

"We came to get the wizard, right? We can go back now, right? We even got some people out."

"You can't just walk in here and do this!" the stuggling wizard protest, doing his best to throw his pointed knees and elbows at any part of Kerisha in an attempt to break free.

Finding his attempts easily thwarted he stops struggling and lowers his head, not saying a word.

Karma follows into the room as requested, quickly assessing the situation he moves over to Kerisha and places a hand on her shoulder. "May nature guide your actions dudette." he says before looking over the Wizards desk.

The wizard's desk contains neatly stacked papers and notes, mostly consisting of Iarno's written orders to apothecaries and alchemists in nearby settlements for more materials for his workshop. Karma also finds a letter signed with a small stamp of a black spider.

The knees and elbows that are flung around by the wizard barely register to Kerisha. She keeps her grip like a big bear hug making sure there is no funny business until the questioning is over.

Gerbo walks over to Belanor and shoves the staff into his hands "Hold this." Walking back over to the wizard, he walks back over to the wizard pulling some wadded up clothing and shoves it into the wizard's mouth.

Iarno doesn't see what the halfling is up to and before he has a chance to react Gerbo has stuffed his pie-hole with a rolled up sock.

Resigned to his fate the wizard slumps forward in Kerisha's arms and grunts.

At his point we'll cease initiative order and anyone can act freely. Given a chance, however, the wizard may try to save himself, so be specific as to how you are all handling him.

Seeing him slump forward, Gerbo's blood pressure drops a little. While Kerisha is still holding him, Gerbo take the rope I from the side of his pack and bind the wizard's arms behind his back. "I suppose that ought to do it. Shall we? Kerisha, can you stick with him? I think he's taken a shine to you."

Gerbo will creep back to the door we came in and scout ahead a little.

Gerbo makes his way up the stairs and into the storeroom that the group first found when they entered the manor. There doesn't appear to be any danger along the way.

"So, the justice can take care of this then we can get on with finding Gundern. Perhaps with this they'll get enough to actually have a guard force in town. Don't you think?

Belanor makes sure to grab and dawn his peacoat on the exit. Making sure to keep tight to the newly acquired staff.

Gerbo grabs another crowbar from the stores to replace the one he jammed under the wizard's door. "I suppose that depends, Belly. We can see if anyone knows anything. I think it's probably worth questioning this guy about it, but let's try to keep it down until we get out of here. Never know who's listening."

Gerbo proceeds ahead of the group, checking the big room for evidence that anything has changed or anyone is present.
