Karma just shrugs, "Dude who would build a tunnel to nowhere!" He the follows the group back out to the main cavern, crossing the bridge and sets himself to follow the tunnel at the top left of the cavern.

Gerbo frowns at the dead end. Seeing Kerisha squeeze back down the hall, he whispers, "Want to keep watch? I'm going to check this out." Cracking his knuckles and twiddling his fingers slightly, he steps forward and begins poring over the rock wall, running his fingers over it to ascertain if there is any trick to it. "Dwarf...Uhhh...Karma, can you see anything? You dwarves are good at this stuff, right?"
OOC:
It updated after I posted. We can keep moving if I don't find anything. Ignore what I said to Karma and Kerisha

OOC:
Karma already had a look at the stonework and spotted nothing unusual.
Jun 3, 2021 1:37 am
The end of the hallway doesn't appear quite as clean as the rest of the stonework in this hallway. Gerbo is able to find a few hinges camouflaged behind some fake bits of stone and determines that what appears to be a dead-end is really a door.
OOC:
I am unclear as to everyone's location. I had all of you marching down the hallway to the bottom right. Was that not correct? And thanks to QuantumRiot for suggesting secret doors - this would have been really boring otherwise... :-)

OOC:
Kerisha and Karma had turned to head back to the central room, but I sure they would stop at Gerbo’s squeal of delight :)
Jun 3, 2021 12:46 pm
As Gerbo's hands come across the hinges, he gasps and then tries to play it off as confidence. "As I suspected. It's not a tunnel to nowhere, my Dwarven friend. I found some hinges. I can keep looking, but we should be ready for when we get it open." Once everyone comes back, he will continue working to find the release for the door.
OOC:
Rolling history if needed to see if I know anything about how this would work. Adding artificier's lore in case it counts as tech or magic device. Normal History roll without it would be +4.

Investigating the area around the door the rogue quickly learns there are no secrets to its operation. Finding a finger hold Gerbo finds the door easily swings open towards the group, revealing a large cellar beyond. You can hear water trickling into the cistern on your left as you look into the room.

QuantumRiot says:
Kerisha is becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress. She wants to hit something. Anything. Someone must pay for Orel being hurt. And dead ends are not getting her any closer to that, or dealing with these red cloaks that are causing trouble in town.

She trudges off back down the corridor.
OOC:
I don't know if anyone wants to check for hidden doors here? Otherwise Kerisha will trudge back over the bridge and try the next tunnel.
OOC:
I'm kinda surprised you don't start hammering away at the wall in frustration

OOC:
we'd all probably be hanging by the entrance way until the door was found/ opened.
.
"I mean it would have held some casks well enough." Belanor adds to the dead end bits.
With the excite for the secret door.
"Well done for not giving up? What would bring you to think of that?"

Scrambling for an answer to cover his lucky guess, Gerbo sees some scrapes on the floor around the game of the door. Putting his best impression of a knowing smile on his face, he squats and points to them. "Details."

Turning back to the room, he pipes up again, "Keep in mind, we're still in enemy territory. You reckon we ought to go in? If they don't want us in here, I'll bet this is exactly where we ought to be."

Gerbo stands up straight, dusts off his hands, hikes up his belt, and steps into the room cautiously, looking for any signs of recent visitors to the room.

Karma who had turned back to head off towards the cavern again hears Gerbo’s words of triumph and turns to see the Halfling opening the door, he just gives out a long "Duudddeee!" while extending both hands out with his thumbs pointing to the sky. He then follows Gerbo into the room giving it a roof to floor search with his eyes for any dangers.

She would have done at the next dead end lol
Kerisha marches into the secret room, still eager to hit something, and now taking more responsibility for the protection of the group. Looking around she doesn't see anyone immediately, and the sound of the water calms her slightly. Like a stream slowly trickling through the woodland. One that supports some much life, and one that she would hunt in when she was cast out of her tribe. She peers into the water at her reflection. The goblin fingers around her neck. The red cloak around her wrist. She is stronger than she was, but she still has a long way to go before she can return.

Kerish goes around the room, poking at the walls with her sword, expecting it to give at some point revealing another secret door.

The group’s general poking and prodding reveals nothing new about the room. There are doors to the north, east, and west which have yet to be checked.
OOC:
If there’s anything specific you want to poke/prod/investigate, feel free to do so.

Not having any luck with the walls, Kerisha will turn her attention to the barrels in the room. Hoping to find something useful, although highly doubting there will be anything like a great weapon or new armor in such a rotten place, there may be something she could sell or exchange for an upgrade.
OOC:
Oh dear.... what room? what barrels? Hey where have you guys gone?

The barrels are just that. They hold a variety of foodstuffs, including ale, salted meat, flour, sugar, etc.
OOC:
Not a bad way to get a 1 out of the way really. :-)

Belanor thinks to himself, This isn't a bad way to store barrels, though you can't do with the large fountain in the room.
Belanor touches the fountain water.
OOC:
\> is it "fresh" water or grimy like?

Gerbo begins stalking around the room leaning in at each door to listen carefully to see if he can hear anything behind them, starting with the door next to the water and working clockwise.
