Since irvanovich doesn't seem to know when he'll be able to come back, I think I'll open a slot for some new player to join in.

Shanata has shown interest in joining. We can continue playing, but if you have no problem slowing the pace down to give him/her the time to read up on Pathfinder and make a character, we could also do that too.

I'm fine with it. Injus opened a bar plus I'm a full time engineer. I'm busy af lately.

I'm fine with whatever pace they need to get comfortable.

That's fine with me as well, I'm glad to have new blood on the site :)

Hello Everyone,

I am very excited to be invited to this game. All my pen and paper rpg experience has been in DnD 3.5, but everyone has assured me this should be a pretty easy transition.

A little about me in real life. I am a PhD student in Biology, I study at Memorial University of Newfoundland, (Canada) so I am also in a weird time zone, a half hour ahead of Atlantic time. I am busy but at the same time I have a lot of free time as I create my own schedule. I am currently writing my dissertation so I spent a lot of time on the computer, and not much time in the lab.

I hear you need a cleric, I took a quick look at the players guide and thought the Healing and Fire domains looked interesting (I haven't had time to read everything so I am not set on that, and suggestions are welcome). This will be my first cleric, the only other spell caster I have played is a druid, so any hints or advice are welcome. It is late here now, but I have set aside time tomorrow for character creation, I may pester you with some questions.

I guess that is kind of all for introduction stuff. I look forward to playing with you, I read through a bit of the last story and I think you guys will be great fun to adventure with.

Not really a joke, but more of an anecdote I've heard from the people of Fermont which is a small town near the border to Labrador. Apparently, when they have hockey matches with Newfies, the Newfies are pretty easy to spot on the ice as they're the ones who wear mismatched leggings... XD

I haven't made it over to Labrador but I hear it's pretty bleak. It wouldn't surprise me if those leggings had been handed down for generations, but they only got one from each side of the family lol.


On another note I have a question about the cleric domain spells. I get one domain spell of each level per day (according to the table) but I have 2 domains, and therefore 2 possible spells for each level. Do they work like normal spells where I can change them each day while I meditate, or am I locked into the spell once I choose it?

Every day, when you pray, you choose your spells. You have a number of regular spells for each level plus one bonus domain spell. You get to choose which domain spell for each level you'll learn this day from between the choices given to you by your two domains.
Let's say that for level 1, one domain granted you burning hands and another granted you cure light wounds, then every day you prayed for your spells, you'd get to choose between burning hands and cure light wounds as your 1st level domain spell for that particular day.

I love watching you canadians pick on each other. In the states we call each other pussies etc, and you guys are like "I hear you don't wear matching socks when you play hockey." It's killing me man. :)

@Kalajel Ok, I thought that was how it worked but I wanted to make sure, after my stat rolling mishap I didn't want to label myself as a cheater ;)

@Kaosanddoom You just don't understand how insulting that is :P I would rather be called all sorts of names than have someone make fun of my hockey team.

So I looked around for the map, but it doesn't seem to be in the maps forum. Could someone point me in the right direction?

The map for Barovia? There is none. Well, there is one, but they haven't purchased/found/stolen a map of the valley yet... Probably something Ireena could give them if asked...
