If it were me, I'd create one level 20 sheet with notes as to how this character behaves (pulls punches, "misses" on purpose, falls "unconscious" with +20 Bluff to play dead, etc.)

Yeah, since he is level 20 after all, you should make a level 20 character sheet, and yes, maxed out bluff should be a requirement (perhaps with Skill Focus (Bluff) just to make sure). I'd also suggest to keep notes as to what abilities the character should not use in order to avoid blowing his cover (or which abilities to used in a reduced state). He'd also have to be careful as to what magic item he carries around, because a quick detect magic on your players' part will quickly show that something is up...

Thanks for the advice, you guys have already found big holes in my sheet. He is an ex-wizard who has become a monk (14 levels n wizard, 6 in monk) so it should be easy to hide his wizard abilities if he just never uses them and all his items and monk skills are at the appropriate level.

It makes total sense but I hadn't figured in a high bluff. I will definitely max it out and look into the skill focus feat. One last question, would you guys give them a perception check to notice he isn't what he seems or only have the players roll if they get suspicious?

Roll a Sense Motive or Perception check against his Bluff in secret every once in a while. Only give them a chance to make the roll themselves if they get suspicions

lol, we once had a player playing a multiclassed wizard/monk in the Darksun setting (where magic is really frowned upon), basically hiding his somatic components in sentai-like poses before punching (or pretending to punch) the bad guys and unleashing his spell at point-blank range while screaming "DRAGON PUNCH!"

... This is beautiful. Why have I never thought about this?

That is amazing! If things get out of hand and the monk has to save the party I am definitely stealing this idea.

Madam Eva did told you in her reading that he had been killed by someone who uses to hunt werewolves.
Wait, what? Did I totally miss basically the resolution of Ujjaya's mini-quest?!

You were silent for the moment, due to work.

Be that as it may, I did read through the card reading when I came back. I can't believe I missed that whole thing!

Irvanovich made a resume of the reading here.

You can place yourselves on the map.
Ujjaya is perched on a rock if allowed. He went for the highest point he could see when he took watch.

Sure, you had plenty of time to climb on a rock prior to the attack...

Edit: ...except that you put Ujjaya on top of Jani's lean-to. lol. Well, if you want to be on top of his lean-to, you still can, I'm sure it's sturdy enoug.

Done. Yeah, that particular tent does kind of look like a rock. I'll try to use a different one in later maps...

I have FINALLY started doing the job that I got promoted to before. Previous to this, it's all been slow-paced training and being a mentor to new people. I am FAR busier now than before, so my posting will decrease a massive amount :(

I will do my best to keep up with the games that I am in, but please be understanding if I am a bit slow!
Oct 19, 2017 11:26 pm
No problems. This game has always been a bit slow anyways...

I don't know about that! This game has the highest post count of all of my games. Even the ones that are older than it :P

OK. Oh, I just noticed, Rapid Shot demands a full attack option. So this round with a single standard action, you're shooting only 1 arrow.
Oops, I completely forgot that I had moved LOL! Sorry!
Oct 31, 2017 5:03 pm
Nah, you didn't moved. it was a surprise round. It's just that during surprise rounds, you're limited in the amount of actions you can make.
