kalajel says:
Nah, you didn't moved. it was a surprise round. It's just that during surprise rounds, you're limited in the amount of actions you can make.
Got it. Thanks!

Hey, now that we got a lot of game threads, is there any way you can create an "archive" subforum to move all of the inactive threads to? It isn't a huge deal, but it does take me a second when I hop in here to find the right game thread.

Hmm, I guess I could, it might take me a while to figure it out though...
Edit: Turns out this was easier than I thought... :D

Awesome, thank you :) Makes it a bit easier to keep myself on the right path

Lol, I just realized I wasn't done equipping Strahd. Still had quite a few gold pieces left to buy him his equipment to better torment you guys... :P

Well, he's finally done...

Man, I can't wait for Strahd to finally show up. MUAHAHAHAHAHA... **cough, cough**... haha... **cough**.

We are also looking forward to it.

"We?" Who is this "we"? I mean, besides you and me?
Nov 26, 2017 9:48 pm
I'm looking forward to it, for sure!

I have never had a group that didn't dissolve before we met the BBEG, I am stoked!

Strahd is not your regular BBEG. Players should not treat a campaign of ECR as "there's a vampire in a castle, let's go kill it". Strahd is centuries old and has the cunning which comes with such a long existence. The castle is his home and he knows it well.

Expect a classic gothic horror adventure: you will probably end up facing Strahd several times, but you will only defeat him once, he knows his weaknesses very well and has planned contingencies to cover for those. It is not entirely impossible that fleeing might be the better part of valor in some parts in this adventure...

If only we knew his weaknesses as well as he did. But maybe we can throw him a few surprises even if (When) we don't win.

Scorching Ray (Ranged Touch Attack, 4d6 Fire, no Save) - (1d20+4, 4d6)
1d20+4 - ( 1 ) + 4 = 5
4d6 - ( 5, 1, 2, 4 ) = 12
...Nice to know that RNGesus still loves me.

Both of Durgrim's swings miss, his first one narrowly, being deflected by the creature's shield.

Veroth is up next.
This wolf has a shield?
Nov 29, 2017 8:08 am
WEREwolf. It's also armed with an axe IIRC.
Nov 29, 2017 4:54 pm
The one with the axe was near the top of the map and recently got defeated by Darren. The two werewolves near the bottom of the map (the ones who raged) were wielding a bastard sword one-handed and were wielding a shield. The shield seems to be the only visible armor those particular werewolves have... Hmm, yeah, I should probably be more detailed with my descriptions of the enemies next time...

Ah, I missed it being in hybrid form. Ah, well.

Nah, Ujjaya went along for the ride, no problem! :-)

Sorry... Had a few tech issues, because life enjoys watching me squirm.

Well. There's that. This will be interesting...
