Thanks for the template, Qralloq, it is much appreciated! I read the bit about BP, kalajel, but I'm not quite sure I follow, so I'll leave it your guidance.

Yeah, Qralloq's original was missing a few things/had a few things wrong. I told him about the changes he needed to make, and he simply edited his original. Simply re-copy/paste the sheet elements, and you should have the corrected version now.

As for Telekinesis, here is what the Referee Handbook has to say: "By default, with a Telekinesis-based check and several minutes of meditation, a character can slowly move up to 3kg of mass up to 3m per turn. That's a very weak ability, but don't worry; it'll get a lot better through acquisition of skill benefits." For those wondering, 1kg is about 2.2 lbs.

We have a pilot (Mesec), and a thief (K'Tesk V'Kar), and a medic (Sam). I also think that once this adventure is done, Q is introducing a warrior...

If it works, I'll throw in for Repair Dude & McGyver Guy (Technician primary), and human to keep it simple. If it's ok, i'll take the standard array for ability scores (65,60,55,55,50,45). Possibly Marksman (ship's gunner) as secondary #1 - I'm figuring a naval background background with a dishonorable discharge (completely spurious!). Secondary #2 is still up in the air, but I'm thinking Artist (Structural) just for kicks.

I'll catch up on the story so far today, but does this sound like a decent fit?

The code for the boxes is [ _#/# ], (no spaces) with the first number being the number of boxes and the second number being the number of boxes that are checked. I think.

@Esidrix, I'll be looking at your character you submitted now... Looks fine. Just keep in mind I've changed how defensive suits and specialities worked as I was not a huge fan of how either worked.

Edit: Oh yeah, last step would be to see if your character is psychic. Roll 4D (base 3D + 1D for INT 65+), for each "1s" you roll, you can pick one of the three spychic skills; Telekynesis, Thelepathy, or Psychometabolism.

OK, if I'm reading this right, we've got Pilot, Engineer, Medic, Security, and Covert Ops so far. Sounds like either a Face type character, maybe with a business background, or some kind of Explorer type might be a good fit. Just for clarification, are we a team of independent operators ala Firefly-ish. If so, a Face / Money person might be best. If we're more of a Merc / Security / Problem solving team, then maybe Explorer is better. Thoughts?

Right now more like independents. The group is finishing one adventure, and the PCs of 2 players who left will be able to do their exit, and then the rest of you will be able to be introduced.

Hopefully, you'll end up working as a team though... :D

@WhtKnt - Exactly the other way. But easy enough once I had a starting point - it's the number of checks/number of boxes. So the default unchecked is [ _0/1 ]

Yeah, when ships want to make FTL travel between systems, they have 2 options:

1) Make all the complicated jump calculations, which will take several hours of computation but is entirely free and allows to travel anywhere.

2) Queue up at a navigation buoy, download the pre-calculated trajectory for a small fee (usually 10© per LY travel plus some local fees). Faster but costs money and is usually limited to well-established trade routes.

The first one would mean that should you eventually own your own ship, every time you'd download coruse trajectory from a navigation buoy, you'd get a 25% off on the fee.
